A good shout to all those who called it as a hard fought 2-1 win I saw a few of those predictions on here. Not as comfortable as many of us would have liked but 3 points is 3 points. A 6 point gain on Arsenal in the last 2 games always god if you can get it. 2nd to 6th getting really tight.... COYS !!!!

It was only as hard as we made it for ourselves - if Son had a footballing brain along with Kane(bit harsh but certainly awful decision making) there is at least one more goal for us. 30 attempts at goal - compared to their 5? and only ending up 2-1 - It really should have been a little more comfortable, but we took 3 points and that really is all that matters in the end.

At least we've got 10 days now so hopefully we will have a fully fit squad for the next one. If we stay free of more injuries and we get Lamela and Toby back then we might start to build some momentum providing Pochettino gets the team selection right.

I thought this wasn't a half bad match. 30 shots and only 2 goals aside, the guys did the job, fought back from the first goal, kept on keeping on and even Sissoko got in that one singular act of greatness he is capable of per match. What's not to like, really.

Our defence were in disarray whenever Burnley attacked. We missed the calmness that the defence oozes when Toby is around.

I may be deluded, but I am quietly confident that we are going to hit our straps in the second half of the season.

Yeah, me too. We've been horribly underwhelming, but just look at the table. There's no denying the fact that we, playing poorly aren't far off our rivals (Looking at Arsenal, City and Liverpool here) playing well. Everyone licking the balls of Arse and Liverpool particularly, whilst we've been roundly chastised for not being the team of last year. We're a point behind Arsenal, point behind Liverpool, 3 behind City (forget Chelsea - they'll win this thing by mid March). If we can hit our stride, start blowing teams away now and again and sustain long unbeaten runs - we'll be in the mix for 2nd or 3rd.

No reason we can't. And hey, even if we stutter our way through, we've seen enough to know that even stuttering, we're still very, very hard to beat.

Mid season review? Could do better. Must do better. Will do better.

Not delusion at all, right now our mentality is getting us through these games but we'll will hit some form sooner or later.

Once again another match where our mentality is put to the test and we passed it yet again, would love to see our record of winning games from losing positions.

Haven't been losing many though... defence has been pretty fucking solid. We tend to go on level at half time a lot and then get the wins. We've held on to the ability of last season to still be dangerous in the last 15 minutes of games when the other team is starting to tire.
