Also loving our mentality\attitude this season, such a refreshing change from what we have had to put up with in the past.

You know that Mason and Bentaleb have the same mentality as well and they push each other, those three. It's great to have that nucleus of persistence and endeavour in the team.

It's unthinkable to have expected to see those words on any of our players lips a few months ago.

It is a great mentality but then the mentality against liverpool was poor we were great when we were losing but then when it was level we gave them the impetus back every time and sat back

There is one of two ways this will end;
either we go on to do better and not need to save ourselves as much
or we the mentality will get worse and we wont save ourselves anymore

Totally agree, and I don't think that it's a coincidence that those three players all came through our youth system.

However badly we might have played today, even the most critical fan must surely be happy with the fantastic spirit and mental strength of this team.

That, along with our fitness, are the cornerstones of the new spurs.

The main difference this season is this never say die attitude. For too many years we have rolled over when going a goal down and lost games.

Always good to be positive but honestly if we were just better we wouldn't need to be in this situation.

Against Liverpool we sat off and played for the draw it seemed.

We were outclassed by West Ham for large parts of the game. Yeah, we grabbed a point, but celebrating a point at home against West Ham? And some people laugh at their "cup final".

Not good enough for 4th, maybe not even 5th. They really need to pick things up to prove that Chelsea and Arsenal results were not just one offs

A point we gained from a game they thoroughly deserved to win.

Perspective.

Anyway, way to find something negative to bring to this thread. (y)

Well on the one hand, we might say we were lucky to get a point, considering they had the best of the match for long periods. But considering that their 2nd goal was offside by any sensible interpretation of the rule, and that Nobel should clearly have been sent off, they might say the same.

Was really p!ssed off with the performance, we were wasteful, rarely created anything, kepted giving the ball away, had no real invention or spark, defended poorly, was out muscled, out witted, no ideas and no plan b, we were bordering dog sh!t...

...BUT! We had character. If you ever want to be something in this game, whether it's champions of England or even Europe, you have to turn up on a day play utter rubbish and still take something from the game, being 2-0 down and getting a draw is as impressive as winning 1-0 away whilst playing like did today. Even when you can't be bothered, let alone when the chips are down, you have to carry on regardless.

People may call it luck but you have to take that luck when it comes, just look at West Ham, they were very lucky to end the game with 11 men but didn't take advantage of it.

"Never fucking give up!"

Hear! hear!

We have this mentality at the wrong time at the moment though, that's my only issue. If we had this mentality at the beginning and carried it through the whole match we would be serious contenders already this season.

It's a mark of a good team to come back so many times like we have done.

It's a mark of a GREAT team to come out of the blocks aiming to smash teams from the very beginning

A bit more care in our finishing/final ball and we'd have been at least 2 up against both Fiorentina and West Ham before either had got into the game. Considering the run of games we've had recently that's pretty impressive considering neither are muggy teams these days.

What's great to see though with this current Spurs side (and let's face it, who'd have put this 11 out as their dream team at the start of the season!) is that even when they aren't playing that great they've always got the will to get back in the game. People are too quick to write that off.
