Could that be the goalposts Levy moved? He wanted to make sure that we'd get more than just one player/cash/whatever for Luka?

Hopefully this partnership means we'll get players at a cut rate and a chance to get some good loan deals from them.

I can't think of many in their squad we wouldn't take, they wouldn't be there if they were shit, so bring on their cast offs i say,i would be more worried if we had a similar agreement with Glasgow Rangers...

Yeah goes without saying, but the players actually have to want to come as well...could be slim pickings.

More likely alot of loan deals coming our way, players who can't quite make their first team, but would be good enough for ours.
That would make more sense.

34 or 35m Euro. Makes no difference. That's well below what we want. I don't get Sahin, either. Why did he want to go to Liverpool? They're fucking shite. He said no to us because of Champions League, and then he goes to them?

Levy??

The Scousers are willing to pay the 70% of his £130k (approx) wages!

A partnership between us and Madrid, hope that means we have a player or two coming in the opposite direction.
Or is it just another way of saying they have first shout on Bale if he decides to leave? All the info is that if he went in future it would be to RM or Barca and RM would love to get one over Barca on this. Smart move on their part if that is the case As for incomings to us , I predict a series of phone calls from Mourinho to Levy " Daniel, we would love to let you have him but the player does not want to go - what can I do? Now, about Gareth ...."

If we can get Moutinho, Willian and Isco then I think everyone will be happy.

We will just have to put up with Defoe until Jan and then find a replacement.

Partnership might work in our favour

New partnership between Spurs and Real Madrid opens up possible other deals this window. Dawson and Jenas to be considered by Mourinho.

Yes , I can see Mourinho considering Jenas - "Jermaine, that's the corner you will work on and the programmes cost EUR 5 and see if you can get rid of some of these flags as well while you are about it"

If you're only thinking of players coming from Real Madrid, that may be true, but the agreement makes us suddenly a better option for players who see themselves as RM players in the future, or possibly that RM see as potential RM players in the future.

It means we bend over and get royally fucked!!
Lol... but no it really doesn't.

Clubs don't need a partnership agreement to do that, they just need the telephone number of a player's agent. This will be good for Spurs, it just might not always, or even ever, be directly visible to us the common fan.

Sometimes these agreements help purely commercially or with other projects, but all benefits to the club are that, benefits.

Yes it MIGHT mean that RM ask for players like Bale etc, but they would do that anyway, after all, Modric was asked for by RM without said agreement in place.

Also, how do we know that Sahin to Liverpool rather than Arsenal was not the first "benefit" of this? ;)
