Rather than intentionally or otherwise post something akin to flamebait, how about posting your opinions in the Topic that prompted this thread?

OK, I know emotions are running high (mine are defo up there) but I have been thinking for a while about things like 'mettle', 'strength', 'Leadership' - and all those things.

Here's a question for people who deny or doubt the 'emotion' of this thread ...

What if, at the the start of the season this was Harry's Statement Of Intent:

" Our target for this season is fourth, however, that does not promise we will get a Champions League spot. We will probably be the best, most exciting team to watch up until February-ish when, for what every reason, we will start to play poorly for the remainder and most crucial part of the season; like we did last season. Yes, I know we might hold 3rd for ages, but ya know, that's football. We may have to rely on the Champions League Final in order to determine if we play the Champs League next year. "

Is that acceptable? Would you have taken that?

If so, fair enough. I do not not think that's acceptable.

It's fucking embarrassing.

Sure, we fucked up 3rd place and a 10 point lead or whatever it was, but we finished 4th which would usually have been enough. This year it wasn't the case. We all knew the rule, we just didn't think we'd have to apply it because of our position in the league around January. If it was Arsenal right now we'd be having a laugh. How many of you would want UEFA to change their shitty rule then?

Get a grip. We've got the whole summer to sort out our signings, keep our top players and figure out what we need to do in order to beat everyone around us. No CL leaves us in a bad position with some of our potential signings but what did Newcastle have when they bought Cisse, Cabaye etc? Nothing.

I believe Levy knows what he needs to do, he's realised we can't spend low and hope for the best. He knows we need top players. Not necessarily £30m signings but pull off a couple of £10-20m players and I believe we can shoot ourselves back to the top.

Stop fucking whining and support your team.

this sucks. there is always next year, and with Spurs that is the actual truth. Modric is gone, but he probably would've left anyway. Bale may be too.

SC is getting hammered tonight, so it's taken me ages to get back on to post this:

Actually, this thread does have a place for an opposing view.

Some may actually think the original 'Topic'' is flamebait, so I respect your point of view.

The last 3 seasons, 4th. 5th. 4th. some of us look at that and think, not bad really, others will have a different opinion.
Personally, I will look forward to next season with renewed optimism and hope....and a few things i hope for are, that England will be doing really well, and no one will be silently knocking on Harry's door, another is that Modric has either gone, or has committed himself 100%, to Spurs, and that the rest of the team have learned something from this years disappointment of missing out on what was well within our grasp at one stage.

I am absolutely gutted but the show goes on. We still are a very good side and Harry deserves another season. We are still the 4th best side in England and we still can still build on this. COYS!

I'll be surprised if 87 doesn't repeat itself and it takes another 25 years to get where we r now. Harry failed to show commitment and that had the same effect on the squad that modrics lack of commitment had at the start of the season.

How can We expect Harry to be able to keep players like bale and modric from wanting to move on when he was wanting to do the same.

We had a glorious chance this season to really cement our position in the top 4 and through lack of commitment from both Harry and the board we just about limped over the line to 4th and look where that got us. Time to move on an show Harry the same loyalty he showed us!!!!

Wow. Sanctimonious much? How about cutting your fellow Spurs fans some slack for being (rightfully) pissed off at the cluster fuck of a season we've had?

If you can't let off steam on a Spurs forum where the fuck can you?
