A badly written letter full of errors and emotional opinion. Do you seriously want to simply vent your spleen like this in a letter to the man at the head of one of Europe's biggest football clubs?

Pav is cup tied for the EUFA cup so we are left with Bent up front - how much would we lose out on by failure to qualify for the group stages? why didn't you just sell him to milan for £21 and use that money to replace him.

Sell who for twenty one pounds? Did Milan ever bid for this twenty one pound player? What is the EUFA cup?

If you're going to go to the drama of an open letter direct to the chairman at least proof read it, please!

I applaud Levy for holding out for the money asked but as said before why the hell did we not sign replacments? surely we had the money to do so!!

Right now I feel we are a registered feeder club

what if ramos plans to play 4 5 1 all year does it matter if we hae to recgonised front line strikers plus one youngster. im sure all that has happened in this window has occured after lengthy discussions with ramos. IN ramos we trust in tottenham we trust

Sorry did you think Berbatov would stay? Idiots on here!
On friday we had Darren bent not scoring, Berbatov disrupting the squad and no other strikers. Now we've got rid of Berbatov (for £30m) Signed a quality Target man and got a 3rd striker, who started for Man Utd vs Newcastle.
So yeah, not too bad. Grow up.

I'm surprised by this thread and it's support.....

I personally felt that out of all the clubs, we have done the best business, remain healthy economically and have a very strong team on paper. ( I stress the on paper bit)

Now while I can appreciate that a new team full of new players will take a little time to gel in, I feel some of you want instant results NOW!! and that's not realistic. While I freely admit that the performance was poor against Sunderland I think we saw a glimpse of what the team is capable of v Chel$ki and now we have added further too it with 2 quality signings in Pavyluchenko & Corluka.

I'm sorry but, Gomes, Ceaser, Bostock, Corluka, Pavyluchenko, Bentley, Modric, Giovanni & Campbell.....

Jesus what more do you want !!!

We were stuck between a rock and a bad place really. I cannot imagine Levy and co not trying their best in securing new players. Do you really think that it was worth keeping Berbatov? I could see him 'not being in the right frame of mind' all season.

I am sure it will come out over the next couple of days, but I suspect that our main striking targets did not materialise despite our best efforts. I for one am glad that we did not get Arshavin - he would not have been the striker we needed.

Levy got as much money out of United as he could and I think that can only be good. WE got as much money out of United just like Blackburn got as much money out of us for Bentley. Why should the buying club get it all their own way?

I am disappointed that we did not get more players on the last day - everyone wants players to flood in, but if you look at our summer spending, we have done very well. Who says that Pavlachenko wont adapt to the premiership straight away? If he hits the floor running, then where is the problem?

Arshavin, Kaka, Villa, Sergio Ramos, Veloso, Gomez, Huntelaar, why the hell did we not get them, this club disgusts me.

Stu, why on earth would the Rowdies or Liverpool do things differently next time? To quote you, "they got their man".

My question is why have we caved and retracted our complaint to the Premier League. If we honestly do want to stand up to other clubs, then surely we can continue to pursue them through 'legal' channels when they are brazebnly speaking to our players without Club permission?

I think next time we will be more thorough in our evidence collecting and make sure we have a watertight case against them.

The trouble is with Levy is that he has brought players that are so good that bigger clubs want them, I don't remember us really having that problem before Levy came along.

Maybe Spurs have always been a "feeder club" but have had nothing worth buying?

Whilst I'm disappointed that we didn't get Arshavin and a DM, we did get some good players, and I'm willing to remain open minded until those new players have played a few games together. There's no point in being doom and gloom, when in fact it could be fantastic! Let's wait and see, and then make a judgement.

And, no matter what, LET'S GIVE THE TEAM OUR FULL SUPPORT!

Thats a bit harsh!!

Do you have regular contact with Ramos and the board? you don't know if they tried to sign those players and we still don't know what work has been done now for the Jan window?

I admire your passion for your club but don't let it blind you

I think Tom's tongue was firmly in his cheek. He was mocking the people that think we could have gone out and bought any of those players mentioned without any problem.

People often accuse spurs fans of having delusions of grandeur and this is proved by the reaction to the transfer window.

Plenty of over reactions is to be expected, people get their hopes up and when their dashed its disappointing. lesson to learn ITK can seriously damage your judgment.

When people like Commoli come on a sky interview and without actually saying it his body language and timely smiles to certain questions sugests that 'it will be a very busy night and we have deals on going it leaves people feeling cheated when nothing of the sort happens, we feel kinda flat. Time for a reality check.

Whilst i am disappointed with their being no Arshavin, for what the reason looks like is a few million quid, we will survive without him, i am disappointed with no Veloso when by all accounts the deal looked so close too, i dont understand the F Campbell deal at all and it makes it all the more mystifying as we have let a better looking prospect in Pekhart for third striker go out on loan ourselves but i am expecting (or hoping at best) that we have some sort of 1st option clause in there.

i am very pleased with who we have bought, especially Modric and Corluka and no one can complain at the standard we have at the club now compaired even to last season, Berba and Keane apart. The quality is improving steadily over the years.

I always believe that Levy has backed the club and would always do whats best for Spurs no matter what, i think that is unquestionable. Sure mistakes are made but who show me someone who says they dont make mistakes and i'll show you a liar.

One thing is for sure, Ramos is going to have to work his magic for what could be a long and frustrating season, its up to us supporters to back him and the lads to the death come 3 oclock.
The signs are there that Ramos's ways are getting through on the pitch, against the chavs we saw the system was solid and even when the personel changed we never lost our shape, all the players know their roles and are looking quite comfortable.
This can only improve with practise. If we can play like we did v the chavs and then add Corluka and Pav into the mix we look pretty strong.

Ok so we wont score as many so we'll have to conceed less.

So, yes while i'm disappointed i didnt get my dream team this window we are not wank, we are not going down and Levy (i believe) has done whats right for Spurs and we have at least 40m in the war chest for the next stage of Ramos's development of his team.

Bigger picture dudes.

Although i do feel dissapointed this morning i do feel the first team as a whole has been strenghtened. Sevilla didnt have star strikers when Ramos was in charge and i am sure there fans were underwhelmed when they signed Kanoute but Ramos got them playing winning football. I believe Ramos does know what he is doing and i am fairly confident we can still have a good seaon.

With the attacking midfield we have now we dont need strikers like keane and berbatov who were having to create there own chances. We just need someone who can put the chances away 9 times out of 10 when oppurtunities are put on a plate.Bent proved he could do that for charlton playing the lone role. 5 in midfield has worked for chelsea and liverpool in recent seasons and hopefully we can have similar success playing one up top and flooding the midfield .

Well done Danniel.

you have succeeded in your one man quest with manchester united to squeeze the cash cow dry and earn that extra few million.... although what can we do with it??? January may be too late to spend it.

we now go into the next 35 games with only one recognised and experienced striker (and many people beleive that he is out of his depth!),
Pavlyuchenko is unproven in the EPL and FRASER CAMPBELL well he is unproven at any level.

Pav is cup tied for the EUFA cup so we are left with Bent up front - how much would we lose out on by failure to qualify for the group stages? why didn't you just sell him to milan for £21 and use that money to replace him.

we are now faced with the prospect of a hard winter without our 2 top goalscorers (DB & RK) and you have failed to replace them both AND we needed a defensive midfielder!!

Now i am sure that Pav will come good but he has already played 5 months of football this year and is untested at this level they will probably be a period of adjustment.

you may have succeeded in you role of a chairman of a PLC but i feel that you have failed in your role as a chairman of our football club and it is hard for fans to get excited about Profit!!!

i dont ever recall the chant "we've made a profit, we've made a profit - you aint".

i am sure you have worked long hours for the club daniel, and many trips in vain to Russia/amsterdam/lisbon etc but what has it given us? a 20 year old Manchester united cast off who in one years time will be playing for oldham? do you think if he was that good they'd let him go?

i dont remember them offering Beckham to leeds when the signed cantona, or giggs to west ham when they bought ince.

was very angry and upset last night and as a consequence i am very tired as i couldn't sleep.

Thanks Daniel Levy, Thanks for thinking about the money more than the fans... i hope our money is very comfortable and to quote the website "we wish it all the best in the future".

Tony

We will be lucky to finish mid table this season, our strikers are poor. Pav is the man that needs 5 chances to score 1 and has been playing in the mighty Russian League. Campbell is a championship player but you summed it up the best. Bent is exactly what his name suggests.

Unfortunately many of our fans are all Businessmen and will be happy as "we got a good price".

Now i know who will be playing at Tottenham this season, i will get the name Profit on the back of the shirt.

Lets get a grip on reality folks.

Yes, we want top players, but why would they come to us? We dont have champions league football, we dont offer the big wages, we only just about got into Europe last seaosn and finished 11th. Why the hell would Villa, Huntelaar, Veloso etc want to come to us? Pavlyuchenko and Arshavin only wanted to come to us because no one else was in for them.

Secondly, you talk as if we have ruined our chances at winning the title. I thought, if things gelled quickly and we got in the right type of players we could maybe finish 4th, but it would take a massive effort and a lot of luck, and even then I was being optimistic. We should be aiming to get into Europe again, thats the realistic target, and with the team we have we should do that.

If people think anyone else could have done a better job then I think they are living in a dream world. We are still a work in progress, look how far we have come in last few seasons, look how the quality of players has improved, yet we havent had a Russian billionaire or an Arab prince bank rolling us. Even Enic havent been investing heavily in us. We have a lot of areas sorted, a lot of bases covered, and now need to add a couple of key signings to really push on to the top.

Stop focusing on the step back, and focus on the steps forward.

as someone who has bitched and moaned about our bad ending to the transfer window, lets all just get behind the team and see what happens.

Theres nothing that can be done now anyway, the only thing that will piss me off now is that Levy will " expect" top 4 or so.

If that doesnt happen which i dont think it will, Ramos will be the one who goes.

I just hope daniel knows that this team does not have what it takes to get into the champs league.

On paper i think we have the 7th best team (on paper)

Would Levy be happy with 7th? , i doubt it, thats the problem i see.

FRASER CAMPBELL well he is unproven at any level.

WRONG he is very much proven in the Championship where he led the line and was top scorer

Now i am sure that Pav will come good but he has already played 5 months of football this year and is untested at this level they will probably be a period of adjustment.

Not really, the league started mid march and then they were given all of may and june off for the euros, and he played something like 7 games from july-mid august. But yes I agree there will be a period of adjustment, as with Modric, and Giovani

I think your being very silly really, we cant predict the future, if its a fuck up its a fuckup, Im pissed we didnt get Arshavin, but over the moon we got Corluka.

I tink this is just a big backlash to the fact Man City signed Robinho for 40 mil euroes and now look like being the new chelscum.

I fear the mass hysteria will just continue on here now we have a 2week international break.
