Tottenham are set to complete their second January signing as long as Porto striker Ze Luis is granted a work permit by the Football Association.

Spurs have been hunting for a new centre-forward to replace injured talisman Harry Kane, with the England captain to be sidelined until April at the earliest.

Danny Rose will be busy on google with this one!

Just a few short months ago we were apparently in negotiations to sign both Paulo Dybala and Bruno Fernandes for 60 odd million a pop.

So where have those funds disappeared to then?

Obviously all just a bit of pretence to keep us fans content for another while.

For what it's worth, I have just read that Spurs are not interested in a 'loan with a buy option' as 'funds are limited', whereas both Porto and the player want to include a buy option! Plus Sevilla are also interested. Source: Inside Futbol.

Further Googling shows that Ze Luis will be 29 years old later this month, has never been capped for Portugal, comes from Cape Verde (hence the work permit problem) and has a scoring rate of 1 in 3. All in all, it sounds like a load of the old proverbial

Funny how people seem to take this guff as gospel and use it to slate, the club, JM or Levy to suit their own agenda.

Are people really that gullible to take this as fact?
