Tottenham star Yves Bissouma has had his £260,000 watch stolen after brazen muggers sprayed tear gas in his face outside a five star hotel in France. The £30million midfielder and his wife were attacked as they arrived at a luxury hotel in Cannes at the weekend.

If you can't think of anything better to do with 260k I'm afraid I'm all out of sympathy.
Shouldn't matter if it's 260k or 50 quid. Having your face and your wife sprayed with tear gas and mugged is a hugely traumatic thing that some people don't mentally recover from

Rich person spends money on something he enjoys - deserves to be attacked.

Sound logic (y)

This is horrible. Thieves are some of the scummiest ppl around. 😡

Also blows my mind that a watch can be “worth” £260K. It just tells you the time - my son’s cost £4.99 from Aldi 😂

But £260k for him is like £260 to us. Have you never spent a similar amount on a luxury item?

It made me think of Dele being robbed in his own home.

That's a pretty insensitive comment mate.
A man and his wife got sprayed with tear gas and robbed, in what should have been a safe place, the value doesn't matter.

What makes your comment even more stupid (which is some feat) is that Yves is known as a bit of a philanthropist and does his bit for charity etc.

Your comment is beyond dumb.

Yeah, I'd expect to see that sort of attention seeking shitty comment on Twitter, not on the SC front page.

Thats what you take away from this story? FFS!
I don’t think Japhet is condoning what happened to Bissouma and his wife I think he’s merely saying that if you walk around in public with 260k of bling on you you are asking to be robbed. That’s not condoning robbery just pointing out that it doesn’t show much common sense on top of the fact that paying that much money for a watch is a bit ridiculous and over the top

It wasn't @Jamturk , it was @Japhet and while I'd agree with what you say if he was walking around the local park, he was outside a 5 star hotel.
Not the sort of place you expect to be anything other than pretty safe really.

And I don't think that's what he was saying at all, he was moaning because a rich person spent some money on something nice.
The value shouldn't matter because to Biss, it's the same as me having a 300 quid watch.
Should everyone be walking around with Casio's or something?

(I'll add the obvious caveat that I haven't read the article because I won't give that shit-rag a single click).

This is a bit like saying to a woman who’s just been raped, well you shouldn’t have been dressed like that in the club at that time of night.

I'm mostly in agreement but idk if that's the right way to look at it lol.

That amount of money to a lot of people is like an entire decade of working 8 hours every day. Regardless where you are, wearing that much money on your wrist is a bad idea. Of course that's not to condone the act of stealing it, just saying it's much more likely to be a target of theft, especially violent theft, when it's worth that kind of money.
