Simple rule, what would your Premier League era 22 man squad be? The only rule being each player has to have worn a number unique in the list for at least 1 season (so you couldn’t have both Ginola and Modric as they both only ever worse 14), and what would your first team be from that. (I’d do all time but then so many people pre squad numbers wore so many different numbers that it’d be too easy). Also, as long as you use 22 different numbers you don’t have to stick to 1-22 (as obviously Ledley gets in at 26).

Mine is:
  1. Robinson
  2. Walker
  3. Rose
  4. Alderweireld
  5. Vertonghen
  6. Mabbutt
  7. Son Heung Min
  8. Parker
  9. Anderton
  10. Sheringham
  11. Bale
  12. Wanyama

  13. Ginola
  14. Keane

  15. Kane
  16. Dembele

  17. Corluka
  18. Carrick

  19. Lloris
  20. King

  21. Ekotto
  22. Klinsmann

Lloris
Walker King Vertonghen Ekotto
Carrick Dembele
Bale Sheringham Ginola
Kane

Klinsmann
Son Keane Anderton
Parker Wanyama
Rose Mabbutt Alderweireld Corluka
Robinson

Near misses for Gomes, YP Lee, Dawson, Dier, Modric, Lennon, Eriksen, Van der Vaart, Defoe and Berbatov.

Well Sandro wore shirt number 30. So for me he would have had to be on the list, based on his best, which was truly amazing for his position.

bale wore 16 before so vdv can be included :cautious:
Yes but with a 22 man limit I wanted to have a balanced squad, so would either have had to sacrifice another forward and for me all the 8 attackers I’ve included did more for us than VDV, or sacrifice Rose and put Bale at left back (which I momentarily considered ?).

Anyway, looks like nobody can be fucked with my game, which I understand.

Get a list of players and numbers going (can keep adding when needed) and more might join in.

I just haven't had the time to sit down and work out a team.
Oh I wasn’t being prickly, even as I was doing it I thought to myself ‘will anyone actually be bothered’

I’d suggest this is harsh on Vega, without whose bravery with a broken foot after Heskey embarrassed Campbell we’d have conceded at the death of the 99 final, and on Saib, who scored the final goal in that lovely 6-2.

As it's your thread BBLG I am willing to change the coveted No.8 shirt - would you like Danny Murphy or Helder Postiga instead?

Unfortunately though the 34 shirt has few takers, and so poor Ramon Vega remains!

Think that’s a bit harsh on Sullivan. I think he was actually a pretty good keeper, but the poor sod didn’t stand much of a chance behind that defence.

Definitely Danny Murphy, what a bag of dicks he was. Postings was just young and I’ll suited to leading the line in a shit side.

Though there’s always Paulinho...

I give it a try without reading OPs team. As I started following spurs 2010, I won't include player before that era, as I can not really judge them. I will use some older squad no. though:

1 - Hugo Lloris
24 - Brad Friedel

2 - Kyle Walker
3 - Danny Rose
4 - Toby Alderweireld
5 - Jan Vertonghen
16 - Kieran Trippier
20 - Michael Dawson
26 - Ledley King

6 - Tom Huddlestone
7 - Heung-Min Son
8 - Scott Parker
10 - Rafael Van der Vaart
11 - Gareth Bale
14 - Luka Modric
18 - Giovani Lo Celso
19 - Mousa Dembele
23 - Christian Eriksen
25 - Aaron Lennon
30 - Sandro Raniere

15 - Robbie Keane
37 - Harry Kane

--------------------------
Harsh on Dier, JD and Dele for example but that could be a tasty squad

Would be able to add something as well

9 - Peter Crouch
12 - Victor Wanyama
21 - Nacer Chadli
22 - Vedran Corluka
29 - Harry Winks
32 - Benoit Assou-Ekotto
38 - Ryan Mason
