Kane is a conundrum because if he starts and if the game goes into ET he won't last 120 mins.

Aurier v Trippier is another. I'd play Aurier but like Kane will he last even the 90 given he hasn't played in a while

Winks is an absolute must but I also have same reservations.

The line up will be interesting

Aurier hasn’t played for months. I’m more concerned about his rustiness than winks or Kane. As much as I don’t like trippier I think Poch will start him.

The attitude must be to win it after 90m

If Extra time comes there are palyers who can come off the bench and replace the tired ones

Tripps for Aurier
Dier for Winks
Llorente or Lamela for Kane

I agree we should go out to win in the 90 and I'd play all three and go for it...

But if penalties come and Harry is buggered then we may well be buggered.

I'd go all out personally but could see Poch making tough decisions

Lloris

Aurier Toby Jan Rose

Sissoko Winks

Eriksen

Son Lucas
Kane

I think against Liverpool pace running from deep is key and Kane up top to hold up and allow Son and Lucas to run off him. Kane shooting from distance also gives another dimension. Winks and Sissoko offer real energy in midfield with Eriksen creating in front of them. Aurier and Rose to play safety first to control their attacking full backs, but license to burst forward on the break. Lloris no mistakes allowed.... kicking needs to me a mixture of long and short stuff.. Jan or Toby need to be on VVD for set pieces...

tactics should be to use the pace of Lucas and Son to beat the press by playing over them. Kane to be the focal point and should stay up top to keep the shape.

10 on the bench means great options when required..

Sanchez
Lamela
Llorente
Wanyama
Dier
Gazzaniga
Trippier
KWP
Davies
Dele

I understand you, but Harry starting should not be in doubt with pens in mind.
And btw, anyone can miss a pen under the pressure they will be under, even Harry, pens are a lottery
Moura Son and kane will hopefully stop Robertson and Arnold getting forward as they wish, they will be worried about the damage those 3 will cause with spaces they will leave

Agree..... And we must not fall into their trap by fannying around at the back, they have the best press around and we would get done.
Hugo has to ping balls further up and avoid our back four when it's not on.

For me Lucas has to start.
We need Sissoko and Wanyama in the midfield to cope with Liverpool.
The players who have been consistently below par are Eriksen and Alli, with Alli coming good last game.
Winks has been out the whole time, probably best on the bench. So we should play:
Lloris
Trippier Toby Verts Rose
Sissoko Wanyama
Lucas Alli Son
Kane
Or Kane behind Lucas and Son if not fully fit. Lucas and Son tracking back. Eriksen off the bench once one of them tires.
While Eriksen did frustrate a bit this season, he ended up with a combined 20 league goals and assists, which is his joint second best total (he got 23 in the season we finished 2nd). He was also top ten in the league for km/90 minutes and top 20 for total distance run, the only player to appear in both those tables. Yes, he’s had a few quiet games and even been a bit sloppy by his standards, but he’s proven his class yet again and bar Kane is our most likely route to a goal. This is before we consider that without his perseverance we don’t get several late goals, without which we are neither in the top 4 nor in the champions league final. He absolutely starts v Liverpool.

I'd like to see a 4-1-4-1 to counteract Liverpool's threat from wide.

Something like this...

..................Lloris

Trippier Toby Verts Rose

.................Winks..............

Sissoko Eriksen Dele Son

....................Kane..............

Could play Aurier instead of Trippier and Moura in place of Kane or Son but I'd be happy that we could negate their threats and create chances ourselves with that set up.

If kane is genuinely ready he needs to start BUT if the game then leads to extra time and penalties what if he doesn’t last and therefore misses the shootout (our best taker

Well that is all mostly true, including the last sentence because he most likely will start. I just think Alli works well with Lucas and would prefer we start with that set up. Either way Son and Lucas should definitely start based on performances throughout the CL and their ability to track back and tackle. Eriksen doesn't tackle and hasn't been in form hence my preference. This is after all what we are doing when we suggest line ups. We're saying what we think would work best, knowing full well Poch will probably think something else!

Eriksen is a guaranteed starter - literally plays every single game. Completely Unrealistic to think he wouldn’t play in the CL final
I'm not trying to be 'realistic' if you mean what Poch will likely do, I'm just hoping he doesn't and that we pick the team best suited to beat Liverpool which imo is the team I posted. Which is why we come in this thread and post. I know he's highly likely to start I just would prefer we started with the team I suggested.

Start whoever will get the win. I don't care if it's Seal Team 6 or the Avengers.

I don't pay attention to Eriksen's running stats has he has little acceleration. What he needs to be is top of the accurate passing stats
