We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement for Yang Min-Hyeok to join the Club from K League 1 side Gangwon FC, subject to work permit and international clearance.

Yang, who turned 18 in April, has agreed a deal that will run until 2030 and will join us in January, 2025.

Only seen a couple of short video's on the kid, but he looks to have bags of pace, two footed and can beat a man.

Well done Ange!

Probably been discussed to death elsewhere on the site, but …

As he will not join us before January: does that mean he will not become Club Trained?

Oh God, this question takes me right back to 11 plus. Which I failed. Headmaster: How can you have got this wrong? We went through it again and again! Didn’t we?
Me: (mumbling) Yes sir.
Nothing but terror.

As far as I can see it says a player has to be registered with a club for three years between ages of 15 and 21 , even if we dated his registration from now as he will be 21 on 16th April 2027 he will have been registered with us for less than three years so have to assume he will not be homegrown

I'm really not sure tbh. I know they have to be at the club for 3 years before they turn 21 but if they start a season aged U-21 and end it aged 21 that season counts as far as I can tell. Does that work with Jan moves though? He'd be 19 after his first full year here and 21 after his third full year here. Depends if they only allow seasons for the transitionary age instead of calendar years I guess.

Even assuming he stays at the club throughout of course.
