Usual bollox being spouted in here about the need to wait for a better deal/player. True.

but have any of you seen our schedule and forgotten so quickly what happened that fcked us up totally last season?

we might get away with it this time, who knows, but not getting a striker in yet is an excessive risk in my book, and slightly more importantly Jose’s...

Still very much hoping to get him.

This window is somehow pampering me to an extent I hope deals can be done soon. Sorry.

I saw this quote!

"Mourinho is not currently satisfied with Tottenham's transfer window."

ouch

I said the same in the Dias thread after watching Jose’s interview on which part of this article is based.

Although he didn’t say the words he was unsatisfied, it was very clear to me that whilst obviously pleased to sign such quality as Bale and Reguilon, given the choice between them and a ST and CB, he would choose the latter. Of course ideally you want them all.

One thing I like about Jose is he’s very straightforward and easy to read. He’s very deliberate and considered with his words in interviews/press conferences as opposed to Poch who talked in riddles and liked a good waffle.

Exactly this!

When we only have a couple of key signings to focus on, I absolutely understand the frustration around everything being left until the last minute. When we've got a bigger rebuild on our hands, we should accept that we won't resolve seven or eight transfer simultaneously and something will drag on until deadline day (or not happen at all).

We've upgraded four of our starting XI, plus our back-up GK. Even if the window ends without our squad exactly where we / Jose / Levy hoped it would be, I think it's fair to say it's been a highly successful window and our best for many years.

Problem is, it is probably make up break this season for Harry. If we want to keep him, I don’t think we have got time to build over 2 or 3 windows.

“Usual bollox” indeed.

No-one is suggesting that we’re not getting a striker in AT ALL. It just might be in the next 15 days rather than the next 5.

Buying now for a premium or waiting till nearer window close could be the difference between a Dias/Skriniar type CB also arriving compared to a Kim Min Jae bargain buy.

It’s not rocket-science to work out which option is the best in terms of strengthening the squad.

I don’t imagine Levy is delaying due to the excitement of TDD. It’s all a matter of numbers / figures.

Hold your horses Rodney.

All gone quiet on this since the initial momentum at the weekend. Too expensive I guess. Next!

Starts today for the wolves. Guess it's over on this front, it will probably be Milik. Been fun though :)

Edit: Might have jinxed this avatar stuff, sorry for that.
