No, and it's nothing about his time with England, but he didn't manage in England enough, and same to Harry as he might leave quickly !

If Harry Left, we need someone who really understand the league to keep us on top four, not getting someone like Benitez who had 6 years don't know how to play Portsmouth, Fulham, West Ham etc.. at their fields ..

we need someone who had an eye for the future, cheap but good signings & care about talent.

I'm really impressed with Coyle. I really would trust him, and even more than the likes of Moyes, O'Neil.

No way. People are right he is too negative, when we 4-1 down, he takes of Defoe a striker when we need 3 goals to stay in the tournament, that summed it up for me.

I really hope Harry doesn't get the England job, it would be a big backward step for us.

If Rijkaard could control the party boys, I would take him. He did a great job at Barca until they won the double, and then he allowed them to ease off. If he could get us playing a similar style of football though, he would be a great choice.

Capello bores the hell out of me. He would be just like Juande Ramos. The English players don't respond to that type of manager very well. He's also too negative, playing central midfielders instead of wingers and playing attacking midfielders (Baptista and Lampard) in a deep midfield role.

I put yay (getting ready for the onslaught). It was a hypothetical question so i gave a hypothetical answer. If harry left (which i dread the thought of) then I feel Fab would be a decent manager. Yes fair enough he hasn't done the buisness with england, but who has in the last 30 years?

Fab's club record speaks for itself. Hes a top manager and would attract top players. We could do a lot worse than that capello fellow.

The fact that Hodgson is about to join Liverpool will proably make Harry favourite for the England job now.

I would take Capello without a shadow of doubt. He has won the league at every club he has managed. He may have failed with England at the world cup, but he would be able to bring in players that he actually liked and would suit his system rather than being saddled with English players who do not perform when it matters.

World class foreign manager? Another Ramos in the making who can't speak the lingo

Probably have to deal with a bitter Lennon, Hudd and Dawson too. Our attacking football will be phased out too

Coyle is a great shout. I think he will end up at a big club sooner rather than later.

I would still favour Magath, but Moyes and Coyle would be interesting choices in the future.

Not that I necessarily think this would be the right appointment, but I think if Redknapp were to go, Klinsmann would be the man who would take the job.

I am totally distraught that we could lose harry. His statement has completly altered our position in the transfer Market . Who will sign for a manager who may not be there in 2 weeks.
Talk about biggest signing for Spurs, well it will be Arry staying.

24 'yay' votes.

Not one saying why though.

Odd.

I just voted as "would I?" if Harry took the job.

Not hating Harry as someone suggested. But what a douchey comment.

I would take him. He's a good club manager. Would he be my #1? No, but we won't get Hiddink or Magath.

But as I said earlier, I think we are going back to a DoF, so I want the DoF to choose.

Don't be such a big girl's blouse. Of course he's going to say he wants the job. He must know the FA aren't going to offer it to him—his reputation for dodgy deals, deserved or not, is going to count against him. The blazer boys want a manager like Caesar's wife.

But I wouldn't want Coopello. I didn't want him three years ago. It's difficult to argue with his record, although it's not entirely bomb-proof, but he's only ever had the very best to work with, and there's an inflexibility about him—the way he ran his Juve team into the ground in 2005-2006, for example—and his statement that 'beautiful football is dead'. Unless he was mistranslated/misquoted, it's not what I want to hear.

it's an interesting point though. makes me think about the possibilty of the big bid for kjaer and that other dude being leaked on purpose to show our intention, which in turn covers up 'arry saying he would take the england job if offered. it could stop transfer targets being turned off by the comments. can't prove it of course, but a possibility.

The one fly in that ointment is that we have to sign up the DoF/Sporting Director first, and we'll still have a manager in place who doesn't like the system. A chicken and egg situation, I think you'll agree…

Obviously, it's given us serious problems at Spurs, so fans are understandably iffy.
