And if we lose with yet another stinking performance are you still going to have your head buried in the sand?
I don't have my head buried in the sand.
For the record, Postecoglu wasn't top of my list when we appointed him anyway, funnily enough for all the reasons the newly enlightened are now attacking him, but there's no denying we've been hit with horrendous injury issues and to deny that is just burying your head in the sand.
What I think went in his favour was his willingness to take on the rebuild from kids upwards which other coaches weren't.
If we lose on Thursday I suspect he will be released, probably in the summer as he may well now be even if we win on Thursday purely because it has all become too toxic.
What I don't accept is that he should be sacked now.
I want to win.

Nobody has denied the injury issues but all the talk was we would improve once those injuries were healed and players were back. You were one of the biggest believers on this. And we haven't improved one iota. We are as bad as we have ever been.

Back to the point though, if we lose with another stinker of a performance, after travelling to Wolves for another shitter yesterday, where's the compensation? What's the plus points for those fans?

Pah, the injuries thing again. Injuries or no injuries the flaws in his system have been apparent since before he even got here. Anyone who watched his Celtic team in Europe knew there were red flags in how he set up against top quality opposition, and the only way this wouldn't be an issue in the Prem was if he evolved because he understood that. Whether we had a full team out, or a completely second string those same flaws in how he sets up are there. Positionally we are too easy to play through, holes in behind the full backs are always on, and last ditch 1v1 defending has always been the key to whether we win or lose games, and the better the opposition you play the harder it will be to get a positive result.

I agree with all the flaws in the system. But our senior players should be going to the manager and coaches and saying this isn’t working. That should have happened a long time ago.
I seriously believe the players have it too easy. We have no leaders and haven’t had for a long time now.

I think this is a bit of a difficult one. Harry Kane seeming to have an outsized influence on decisions made with Poch and Jose didn't help at all.

Don't even know who we need to keep next season from the main squad. No other thread to discuss it either. I guess the ones I think are still worth it would be;
Kinsky, Spence, VDV, Udogie, Porro, Danso, Bentancur, Bergvall, Gray, Sarr, Kulu, Solanke, Maddison, Odobert and Moore. Think Romero goes and with Sonny I'm not sure what happens.

Do you think Ange would take that feedback well? Given we have seen how firey he is?

maybe they have? Maybe that's why we saw Maddison and Son chunter about it on the bench at AZ

all the players with the exception of a couple need to be given a chance under a new manager

Davies/Bissouma/Forster/Richi are the only ones I would say should go for one reason or another

then as you say Romero will be forcing a move

I almost didn’t watch. So disconnected with this season. I am not celebrating or getting angry when goals go in. It’s absolutely disgraceful how this season has gone. Even if we win the cup (unlikely) then it will be tinged with disappointment with this season and the constant crap we have been served up. No im not entertained and haven’t been for a long time.

Haven't felt so disenchanted with the club for so long. It really is 90's vibes. Even at 3-2, I said to my mate that we would give them another goal rather than go on and equalize. Then, as if by magic, Bergvall cheaply surrenders possession and it's all over to make my point.

Best post of the day. People forget that there were no injuries when we dropped points to Leicester on game one and then Ipswich and Palace.

Which is why, as I said, he wasn't my choice in the first place, but you can't get away from the fact that our injuries have been atrocious, it defies all common sense to disregard them and say they played no part in our league position, absolute nonsense.
