Just checked the score. What is there to say anymore. Another expected loss. Meh.

This place is rarely ever more optimistic than when we have a fresh “search for a new manager” thread, and we are a little bit closer now.

Early forecast…

Poch - The highly unrealistic dream
Iraola - The early front runner
Rosenior - The hipster alternative choice
Silva - The realistic one

can’t wait.
Does it matter who we appoint?
Ask yourselves this; if we’d appointed Emery and he’d got us to the knockout stages of the CL and in contention to be in the top 5 do you believe Levy would have signed 5 players in January for him - players of the quality of Matsen, Arsensio and Rashford - in order to ensure success.
Whoever we get as manager will always be left at least a couple of quality players short of being able to succeed.

Totally agree, but what is on display now is just not acceptable anymore.

Even with Jose and Conte, it was a bore feast, but not we are tactically naive, easy to play against, opposition are looking forward to playing us. Even spurs will fancy their chances against spurs.

Caught the highlights. That's a team that doesn't give a fuck anymore, and is piling everything into Thursday night's.
Anyone thinking it will be different on Thursday should be prepared for s*** show.

I think i should stay away from watching our games and just wait for the score line as I believe it is worse watching us lose and seeing it unfold than just seeing the scoreline. It hurts as I have never felt this way about spurs.

it is endemic in our players, no heart, no passion, weak mentally and physically. Need a Mackay or a Perrryman to shake their fists and roll their sleeves up and be prepared to bollock people. They are all too nice and wilt like flowers at the first sign of pressure.

It'll be an entirely different performance, not to mention starting XI.

I don’t watch our games anymore, but assume the away fans were apoplectic at the final whistle again?

Good, they should be piling everything into Thursday night.
Professional teams would be piling everything into everything. The Prem is the bread and butter. We should be trying to win every game. If we are only going for one thing that is so wrong (and yes, I get there is nothing to go for in the Prem. Except pride).

That’s the set up and tactics again though isn’t it? Why have a striker with Solanke‘s attributes and the keeper not kick it long occasionally? Even once or twice in a match?
I don’t get it pal, even my lad who plays in goal at u10’s mixes it up and plays the situation.
It’s all too predictable for the oppo which puts the back five under pressure time and time again.
We just constantly shoot ourselves in the foot firstly with the tactics employed but also the players not actually thinking for themselves on the pitch.

Much better because that is not the attitude we're installing and it's silly to suggest otherwise. Everyone can see that the league no longer matters this season it's simple common sense.
It seems to me the people complaining we didn't play our best side are the same ones who have been denying that having ten, eleven or twelve important players out for months didn't affect the results.
The side today reflected the importance of Thursday's game.
Tell that to the fans that travelled away today.

Erm, lets look at the immediate problem first, we are not in the CL and not in top 5 contention. We are not short of a couple of players to be 4 places above relegation, this isnt down to a lack of quality in the squad......

I don’t understand why he’s been kept because of the Europa. He’s achieved the bare minimum expected of him in that so far
Because if he is gone you will get some people whinging for years that we have got rid of a manager before a (final) quarter final where we have a squad good enough to win it according to many pundits. Levy is damned if he does and damned if he doesnt.
