We were completely outplayed not sure how we won that.
Would you say Wolves had any clear cut chances that they completely fluffed? Did Gazzaniga make strings of mental saves? It was good defending, regardless of whether it was last ditch stuff.

I don't believe we were outplayed, possession isn't everything.

We were pretty shocking on the ball but, a couple of brainfarts aside, we looked solid at the back and limited Wolves to half chances. Dier's chance alone was better than anything they created in the entire match. It was an ugly win but Wolves didn't actually create enough to deserve the 3 pts either.
Nice one so bbc exaggerating a bit. I assume they had more of the ball but didn’t create a whole deal of big chances?

to be fair they’re a very good team, unbeaten since 11 sept i think and possibly unbeaten at home until we just beat them?

great win however we did it :)

We defended brilliantly against a very good side. Chelsea are in dire form and we’ll be at home

Agree with the sentiment as they showed more resiliency and organization than in games past, but i'd struggle to call it brilliant. Brilliant would be eliminating the ability to shoot further up the pitch rather than blocking shots, clogging up the middle. But it certainly was a much improved performance, but i wish they would do a better job of sorting out who is first and second defender and then putting pressure on quicker and further away from goal

THAT'S what you get with Mourinho. Completely undeserved but a winner in injury time. We've seen it time and time again when he's coached other clubs and even against us (Essien screamer last minute?). The Mourinho effect.

It's nice to finally know the feeling, long may it prosper.
Mourinho has an absolute winners mentality, hopefully, this leads to a ruthless changing of this squad

You don’t see anyone banging on about Liverpool like we do about our own, all you ever hear is “Champions find a way to win even when they’re not playing well.”

Well we found a way to win when not playing well away to a team that are currently flying.

How can you complain about that?

Yeah. We're all patting Mou on the back, but the reality is that if you play that game another ten times, we don't win it.

I'm delighted that there's grit being demonstrated but we got lucky today

Mourinho has played that game 10 times before and won. That’s what we’ve got in. Get used to it.

Wolves have a good home record which makes this satisfying all the more. We dug in and produced when it mattered. Mature performance. Never say die

There's a massive bias towards attacking in football. As far as I'm concerned, the driving force behind that victory was a defensive masterclass. You don't deserve to lose just because the opposition has the ball in your half a lot.

Hopefully this will be a wake up call to the fans who didn’t want Jose to replace Poch because he doesn’t always play “Spurs football”.

I don’t give a damn if, some weeks, we don’t play beautiful football. Today was ugly, but we won, and we’re all still elated.

None of us are sat here going “meh... good 3 points... but I’d rather have had a beautiful draw”

Excellent win. It doesnt negate the fact that we kept giving them the ball and invited pressure on ourselves, Jose needs to sort that out. Also think we needed a change or two but i would have taken a draw after that performance so a win is unreal

Wolves aka ****s
I don't think there's too much he can do about much until we've signed a few players. Some of these simply aren't good enough and what's on the bench is debatable. So expect to see more of the same IMO
For all their possession and territory, what did they create? Not much.
I agree but going by what the hive were saying we were being overrun and they were going to score at any time

Vertonghen has been a staple in all of the successes the club have had in the last 8 season. It's long past time to give him his new contract. He's still got lots of top flight football left in him, so even a 3-year deal will end up being of value to Spurs.

Disagree with the premise but would love to hear why we lose that game the next 10 times.

Agree. I’ve been watching the Utd match and it’s far more stressful knowing we are playing and having to wait for a score update on screen or following this thread.

Always sweet to win at the death. Sounds like it wasn’t really deserved, but I don’t care at this point.
It was well deserved IMHO

Spot on, the key is just can we get the results and he’s proved over the years he can.

For all their pressure, did they have a clear cut chance?

Nope, defensively we were fantastic I felt but the problem was what we did with it afterwards, however vs a team as suffocating as Wolves I'm very happy to take a grounded out win and hope we improve what we do with the ball over next few months.
