Janssen is completely irrelevant in the discussion as he’s not registered in any squad. Janssen nkoudou llorente dembele are all obviously gone. So there’s your 4 for 1. Just interesting who the British 2 we sign are. Although might be 1 as squad of 24 is enough.

Don't think we'll do any business in January, that transfer window was never a favourite of Levy. We usually look for players out of contract or transfer listed players there (Holtby, Moura, tried to sign Barkley). In summer we'll need to sort out some HG problems. I would love Pellegrini here but I think we'll end up with Cook or Grealish to help HG quota. Vorm will be replaced with some HG keeper, maybe we sign Josh Maja to backup Kane (could be great business on our side and he is HG). N'Dombele will end up in some richer club. I hope we go back for Pavard in summer but he will probably go to Bayern. Don't think there is any realistic HG option for a new LB.

Let the Callum Wilson thing go, it's not happening.
It wasn't as specific as just saying we have to buy Callum Wilson but a continuation of a post from Hercules about ignoring what people were saying about "who wouldn't come here cause of Kane". The fact of the matter is we're going to have to buy players of HG status, a backup for Kane is a great spot to start. I'm doubtful we'd pay the money to get him regardless.

Our own manager has stated that twice on two separate occasions that we're gonna struggle to find this exact kind of player due to the role they're gonna be playing in the squad, it's just totally illogical to think that a player of Callum Wilson's pedigree who's stock is continually rising will be happy to sit on our bench, it's just totally counter productive to his career which is why Poch has alluded to the very same thing, we've struggled to bring players in for that reason and will continue to do so until we pay them enough and they are happy to accept their role.

I think this is the key to it all, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Pool, all have clear backup strikers with established starters but they likely pay them more than we would. Hopefully with the new stadiums and pay upgrades this will be fixed soon.
