Quite unflattering watching his ‘highlights’ reel. Decent header of the ball, but sluggish across the ground, and not the most colours on the ball. As a stop gap loan only, he’s be a Plan B, but paying big money for him doesn’t strike me as ideal. Piatek still looks a better bet.

For £50m we could do much, much better.

Timo Werner is valued at that sort of money, as dembele at Lyon.

Even Cavani is better value at £22m with the rest on his wages.

Worrying times if this is the best that we can get.

Like what I've seen of him this season but 50 mill is having a laugh.

Sign Odegaard instead... since he's on loan from Real Madrid and pivotal to Sociedad's play it will piss them right off lol

I take a guess. In four days we have talked 11 pages about work permit alone while we deny the fact that Benteke has turned up at our training ground.

Still too much imho. Limited player, that we will get stuck with.

Always doing things on the cheap sadly.

Now timo Werner would inject goals, youth and pace to our team but nah let’s go for some 28 year old who’s a bit of a unit.

Werner clearly has his eyes set on joining a winning set up competing at the very top of the game in Europe - Spurs aren't at that level.

Don't disagree with his talent and we should be looking, doubt there is fuck all we can do about him joining a club like Bayern or Juve or Liverpool if they make eyes at him and his agent.

It definitely seems telling that they would pull him out of the squad, something we haven't even done with Eriksen. Clearly they think there's a reasonable chance he's moving somewhere soon.

Yea but problem is Werner is wanted by teams that don't have Harry Kane as 1st choice and that's our issue we are signing a back up not a first choice. Werner wouldn't be happy being a sub every week and most strikers wouldn't be so have to find someone willing to do that

timo werner would have zero interest in joining our team at this point. He will pick from Bayern, Pool, Barca and RM this summer.

our chance for him was to go all out last summer, but we didn’t do it.
