Back in the squad for their cup game today. Sport.es are reporting a €20m bid rejected, and that Sociedad consider Thursday to be the “deadline”.

According to Wikipedia he’s scored 4,115 goals in 112 games for Real Socidead so I’d take him.

FWIW the guy Sociedad are looking at to replace Willian Jose is a young Mexican striker called JJ Macias. He's incredibly highly regarded in Mexico and would cost circa £15m. I'd rather we just take him to be honest.

Might be work permit stuff, or the lad wants to go to a Spanish speaking country to make the transistion easier. The usual reasons hardly any South/central Americans come directly to the Premier League.

Jose Macias is 20 and has scored 4 goals in his 5 appearances for Mexico.
However, he moved from Guadalaraja to Chivas on 1 Jan 2020.

EDIT ok, so I've been told Chivas & Guadalajara are one in the same.

Without knowing a huge amount of this guy or KP I would definitely prefer us to sign Jose out of the 2.
He looks more suited to the prem and would bring our attacking players into the game better than KP imo

Wouldn't mind. I'm sure Lucas could use the company of a compatriot. After all we have the French, Argentine, and English clique.

I think it will be him. All gone quiet on him, they have a replace, ent lined up and they’ll be open to a loan. Fits the bill stylistically too by the sounds of things.
