The Club is delighted to announce that William Gallas has signed a two-year contract extension which runs until 2013.‬

The experienced France defender has impressed at the heart of our defence since joining the Club in the summer following the expiration of his contract at Arsenal at the end of the 2009/10 campaign.

A two-time Premier League title winner with Chelsea, William has made 28 appearances in our colours to date as well as captaining the side on occasions in both the Premier League and Champions League this season.

Surprised by the 2 years. I thought he would only get a year extension considering in the 2012-2013 season he'll be 35 years old.

So? He's been quality so far this season, probably our best active CB. He'd have to really deteriorate rapidly for him to be useless in 2 years.

Great news, as far as I'm concerned.

2 years? Well, alright then. Deffo got another yr of starting. Fantastic addition and backup the season after that. If Caulker is brought into the squad next season, I want him to follow Gallas around on the training pitch and just learn from him.

I would tell him to take notes from Ledders and Woody but, more chance of Blackpool winning the premiership than seeing either of them on a training pitch.

Excellent news- what a signing he's been. Absolutely delighted that all those idiots who booed him at the start of the season have to eat humble pie too.

Even if we don't get more than 15-20 games out of him per season from now on, he'll be a great influence on our young squad, as he has been so far this season.

Excellent, this will royally piss of the Arse anal fans too, as some of them had hoped he would go back at the end of this season.
Obviously feels more apprecited at Tottenham

Yep good news. Rumours were circulating that he was only going to sign if we made CL again. That just leaves Gomes who is the only first choice with just 2 years left. However I have a sneaky feeling Harry may look to upgrade the GK position in the summer

Pav's deal runs out next summer and so he'll likely leave this summer, but he's not really first choice.

Not sure about this, in a year and a half hopefully Caulker would be ready to start playing.

Deserves the contract, been a huge success thus far, lets hope he can help guide us to retaining CL at the lane

We probably wouldn't be in the CL now but for some of his european displays, well deserving of a new contract
