Do we know who is off with their countires for international duties? Both full and under 21's as it doesnt look half bad from an england point of view with Just Dawson away? Whilst i am happy with this I am also a little amazed that the 6 players bought into the original squad only have one left over. What about Hudd? Lennon?

Agree - quite happy for them not to be there for this pointless friendly but quite what Hudd, for example, has done wrong I have no idea

Details there although it doesn't mention much about the U21s. Leaves us with a small group of players to train this week although most of what i'd consider to be the first XI are away.

Edit: I wouldn't look too much into the squad Capello's picked, I reckon he's just using it as an opportunity to have a look at other players who he's not really used before. He can't deny the quality of Defoe (who arguably was the most lively striker for us in South Africa), Lennon or Hudd but he already knows about them and what they can do. I think there are only 10 players in the squad who went to the World Cup so he's obviously gone for those who he depends on all the time, plus some extras who he's not looked at before.

Cudicini
Kaboul....Caulker....King....Naughton
Lennon....Jenas....Huddlestone....Rose
Defoe....Crouch

Is Palacios not on duty? Plus the likes of Townsend, Livermore and Parrett aswell?

agree with you..
hudd is shaping up to be exactly what england need.
he is probably the nearest thing we have to a spanish type midfielder, alonso being the obvious comparison.
at international level and champs league, you must have players who can keep the ball and find their own man, sounds obvious ,but englands midfield didnt find it easy to do.
hudd will hopfully prove to be a top international player if given a chance by a boss that really trusts him...like harry does.

i think hudd is probably the nearest thing we have to 'two' spanish midfielders!
