So with 8 games left they have 81 points 24 left to play with.

Everton A
Man Utd H
Spurs A
Swansea H
West ham A
Huddersfield H
Brighton H
Saints A

Only games I can see them slip up are utd and us. I know they want it wrapped up by beating utd. So if they do will pep take his eye of the league and start resting to try and win the CL.

Chelsea hold the record at 95.

Antonio conte once said it was impossible for a premier league team to reach or break the 100 point barrier.

Is it embarrassing for the rest of the league if they do it or do we just hold our hands up and say they're just to good and pep has them playing a good fast style.

No. They won't beat us, or Unted.
They will come up short, but barely

Won't beat united??? They are at Home.. And they can win the title there and then. At FT not only can they celebrate a win but also have confetti and stuff and celebrate the title right in the faces of their rivals. And that is "if" United don't mess up and they have to perform a Guard of honour.

And hopefully when that is done.. They may try to coast abit against us. Will still be happy if we can get something from the match against them. They are a really tough team to beat.

Anyway back to topic..... I agree they might get close to 100. But once they have wrap up the title... They will have to shift their focus to the champions leagues. The treble is still up for grabs.

I see no indications that they wouldn't do it. They've been virtually unplayable for the majority of the season and the only reason they wouldn't do it is if they drop their momentum after they secured the title. I personally believe Pep will push them to win all their remaining matches. Every single match they got left except us and United are sure wins even for an under performing City. They can even afford to lose 1 match and draw another. I actually be surprised if they "bottle" their chance to get a 100 points.

Edit: If they have the chance to win the CL that might alter their priorities. But as stated above they can probably rest their star players and still win the majority of their PL matches.

Yeah they'll do it, but how excited should we get considering the money they've spent over the last 10 years?

Genuine question btw; I think we/all fans need to get to the bottom of what's actually impressive these days, considering football is a game where historical context and comparison is important.

You have to give them credit. Would love to see what we could do with the same resources though.

If their games against Swansea, Huddersfield and Brighton were away, then I'd say they might just fall short of the 100, but they play them at the Etihad, so that's 9 points from 9.
If they drop any points it will be against us, and I'm not sure that will even happen.

I think they'll have a guff result somewhere along the way and finish just shy of 100.

Good chance of doing it. Depends on CL. If they rest or rotate then they could drop a couple of points where they don't expect to.

Have thought they'll win the league at Wembley for a while now.
