Quality and form have to be taken into consideration!

Same old Levy bashing! Boring!

As I've said before that signing Jose which is not a cheap manger to sign confirms his ambition and whilst he may not sign players you want I'm sure he will do all to keep top 4 a possibility.
I disagree.
Its poor business sense taking quality and form into account and spending a substantial amount of cash on a player in a position of the squad that doesnt need strengthening while other areas are so desperately weak.
I never said anything about signing top players. We dont need to spend ridiculous amounts, we just need to spend wisely but we DO need to spend, especially now both Kane and Sissoko are done for the season more or less.
To ignore the state of our squad and do nothing would be incompetence imo.
As for Levy doing all he can that remains to be seen. We've played this game twice before with Redknapp and Poch and he didnt do 'all he could' then either.
As i said its a mute point as this Zaha deal wont happen anyway.

Fun to look at the Youtube vids. Not the greatest close control of the ball, but can clearly see that teams double up on him. Looks to be more than comfortable on the right, even though it has been mentioned he is far more effective on the left. Also a slight resemblence to Dembele in that he at times uses one arm to hold off the opposition. Can`t help but wonder how he would look in a better team

Rumours are that there's lots going on at Palace behind the scenes - none of it good news for Parish and co - so they might be forced to sell him while they can.

Zaha is a brilliant player Poch really admired him but was priced out.

If Eriksen goes I think I’d rather bring in a player like Zaha than Bruno Fernandes. Just play Lo Celso as the #10 and have Son -Lo Celso -Zaha behind Kane.

Wilfried Zaha happy to stay at Crystal Palace until summer as Tottenham and Chelsea refuse to match his £80m valuation in January window
  • Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is likely to stay at club until end of season
  • Super-agent Pini Zahavi had been asked to organise a transfer for Zaha
  • Tottenham and Chelsea are interested but cannot match Zaha's £80m valuation

He’s gonna be there for a few more seasons. No way anyone paying that fee for player approaching his late 20s

Zaha will end up just wasting away at Palace. So strange.

Well he's the one who signed that new contract a few seasons ago when Palace wouldn't sell him! He must be proper thick - his original contract probably would have expired by now and he would have left on a free and had his pick.

Yep. Got greedy and took the money too soon. Even back then he said he had ambitions to play CL and he still signed a deal without a release clause. He must have known Palace wouldn't be qualifying.

I do think he has been a bit unfortunate in that the Coutinho/Neymar/Dembele window massively inflated fees and it's not really settled down since. Clubs may well have bitten for him at around £50m but Palace are understandably asking for much more.

I've always been behind us signing him. Would have loved him last year as I think he'd thrive in a better team now. Would lay on a lot of goals for Kane and also draw the attention of defenders away from other attackers. Doubt he'll ever be in an acceptable price range for us however.

Wouldn't even surprise me if he fails to get a move in the summer too!

Rumours were we offered him less than he was on. Not surprised he stayed.

Yes I believe that was the case. That was the first of two he was offered. Very short sighted to sign those contracts with no CL clause however. He's lost almost 2 prime years at Palace now when he wanted to leave and couldn't.

Shows a lack of ambition from him. I bet we didn’t once bonuses were added on. Besides the way we reward players with new contracts he would soon of been getting even more money, which seems to be his main driver.

Ive never fancied him anyway, always thought he’d drive us mad watching him. In fact I only want him now for the first time because of the bad situation the squad is in.
