Did anyone see his Instagram story with a photo of him on a medical couch - either just getting some physio or maybe something to do with a medical? (Wishful thinking?)

Edit - just noticed it was posted 15 hours ago so it's probably already covered. If so, sorry and please ignore me!

There were lots of things said, but I remain sceptical.

They were talking last night about something coming out in the press from the same person who leaked the rose interview which was the sun.... the sun have come out with Zaha 45m + sign on fee and bonuses to spurs so maybe just maybe......

People keep saying this but it just isn't true.

Sanchez - £42m
Lucas - £25m
Aurier - £22m
Llorente - £13m
Sissoko - £30m
Janssen - £20m
Son - £27m
Davies - £11m
Soldado - £30m
Lamela - £30m
Paulinho - £18m

These are all signings in the last 5 years that were paid either at or above the current market rate. People just seem to think that the market rate should be whatever price Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool want to over pay for their players.

Ok, I'll rephrase. Market rate for top rated players already playing for PL teams. Whether you or Levy or anyone else thinks they are overvalued, that's the going rate and if you are not prepared to pay it then stop wasting everyone's time and find some better value elsewhere with some top scouting. Buyers and sellers in a particular market set the rate, not Levy.

Anyway, let's see what happens, but I'll very surprised if we make Palace an offer they can't refuse in enough time for them to spend the money.

The sun also says we maybe willing to let aurier and moura go which has to be bullshit we only signed them last season and Lucas only joined in January and was bought for this season more than anything. The sun claimed real betis were keen on him

Anything could happen if the right bid come in for any player though but i dont think either of those would leave....

Thats really weird... imagine being a Journalist and thinking about players Tottenham would want to offload...

not mentioning Janssen, GKN, Sissoko or Llorente but instead Lucas Moura who was signed 6 Months ago and had a cracking pre season is just weird

From Gary Jacobs' transfer Roundup column in The Times today. The core of the piece is regarding his belief we are closing in on the signing of Grealish in a £20m deal so maybe his info is behind the times or maybe he has a source different to our ITKs. Cheers to @AJW for sharing in the Grealish thread so pop over and give him a like too.

--------

Crystal Palace are close to deals for three new players, including the striker Jordan Ayew and are confident that they have won the battle to keep Wilfried Zaha. Ayew is expected to move from Swansea City in a swap deal involving Jaïro Riedewald. Ayew, 26, scored seven league goals last season. Palace are hoping to complete deals for the free agent Max Meyer and West Ham United’s Cheikhou Kouyaté, both midfielders, who will help to ease the disappointment of being unable to sign Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek or extend his loan deal.

3 players in after Hodgson admitted they were skint doesn't stack up too well with Zaha staying. Meyer is a free but must have a huge signing on bonus.

Unless Hodgson has convinced the chairman there’s a good chance they’ll go down if they don’t get some players in. Wouldn’t be the first club to gamble on PL survival.

Sounds like they are already feeling the effects of doing that in prior seasons, but it's possible. I could see them asking him to give them one more year.

Maybe he would of signed the new contract they offered him he was going to stay another year..... but i like the way we are all dismissing it so it looks huge if it does happen

Zaha's wages must be quite a burden for them too. Seems crazy that a club like Palace can pay him 100k +. Meyer will be on big money too.

Meeting between the clubs is interesting.

The bit after seemed opinion to be fair.

Herc and Grey Fox didn't shoot down the Zaha rumours earlier which suggests we are still in for him. Breezer suggested it never went away too

I'm hoping Levy feels like he has to push this one through for Poch.

Going back to this, Levy was at the game last night so maybe a meeting with Palace/Zaha's people is the first thing on his agenda when he returns?

He'll be pleased N'Koudou got a couple of goals on tour, no doubt he'll be dangling him as bait.

No doubt, but with the window looming it would make sense for them to meet in person to thrash a deal out, and maybe see who could go the other way.

Edit: How many times have we heard about Levy flying out somewhere to close a deal. Happened with Sanchez and Moura I believe.
