AFCON is no longer in January so isn't an issue.
is that going to be permanent?

I still don’t want him, not sure I’d want him if he was only 20m. His reputation for diving costs him even when he has been fouled. I honestly believe Moura will be a big hit.

Totally agree about Moura. He already showed glimpses of how good he will be for us.

If we do get him, though, I may well put a large wodge on Palace going down. That's the thing I am most convinced of.

I’d put a large wedge on them going down whoever he signs for, if I could. He improves a very poor team, just don’t think he would improve us to the extent that he would be the missing link to gain trophies, that man in CoB:whistle:

People just want shiny new toys. That's what Zaha would be, a new player sure but a skill set we already have in the team (shocking how much people underrate Lucas and Son) and a huge chunk of the budget that would be better spent else where.

I swear there are people here that would think buying Rooney would be a good idea.

But, as has been mentioned elsewhere, Son is pretty much in his last season for us isn't he?

Dude Poch is the guy who wants him.

I think so. He's 26 today, and I'm pretty sure his 2 year military service has to be completed before his 28th birthday or something, so as far as I know he's already delayed it. Bar him winning a gold medal any time soon, that is.

I know. But do you think Poch just wants 'shiny new toys' then?
I'm honestly not sure what Poch sees there that we don't already have in the team. If Poch thinks he is what we need to break down the bus then that is concerning.

I thought it was before 30. Anyways fingers crossed for South Korea at the Asian Games.

Perhaps but surely after what Poch has achieved over the last 3 seasons with us he has earned the right to be backed this summer ? (budget permitting).

Of course, it will just be very interesting to me what he thinks is necessary to take the next step.

Son has two years left, maximum, unless they win the Asian games (or medal at Tokyo Olympics if he is allowed to compete). There is a very thorough discussion of this in Spurs Chat if you want to read more.

They have to complete it before the age of 35, but would still like Zaha

It's always confusing to read stuff that is presented with blunt confidence, when it's absolute nonsense - it wouldn't even be a talking point if it was 35 :bored:

But regardless, the point of "but we have Son" is currently looking moot beyond the next season, or very optimistically the one after that. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we were looking for another pacey winger, but I don't think Zaha is obtainable.
