According to FIFA anyway. Why haven't we lined him up to replace Berbatov?...

Wigan have finally concluded the loan signing of Egypt striker Amr Zaki, currently ranked by Fifa as the best striker in the world. Though the 25-year-old completed a medical last week, his transfer remained in doubt until Wigan officials flew to Egypt yesterday to finalise his transfer.
"It's been a real tough deal to push through, that's for sure but I'm delighted that Amr's finally a Wigan Athletic player. Everything has been sorted, and now he can just get on with the job at hand," said manager Steve Bruce of the player whose 27 goals in 48 games for his country put him at the top of Fifa's player rankings.
Reports have suggested that Wigan paid up to £1m in order to sign Zaki on loan while further stories have claimed it would cost the club another £5m to keep the striker permanently, something Bruce is not ruling out. "Anyone with a one in two strike rate or better over 50 odd international games knows where the back of the net is. Although he hasn't played in the Premier League, I am convinced, having seen him personally on several occasions, that this boy can do the business," said Bruce.
"I think our supporters will love him because he's a passionate boy who plays with his heart on his sleeve. He is all-action; physically powerful, great in the air, with two great feet and a good turn of pace," he added.
After scoring 22 goals in 55 games for his former club Al Zamalek, Zaki was named the Egyptian Player Of The Year and dubbed 'The Egyptian Gladiator' by fans. However he now sees his future in the Premier League. "I've come to England to score goals. That's what I do. I want to show the manager and the fans of Wigan that they have made a good choice and now I am totally focused on trying to get in the squad and prove myself here," he said.

Seen him play a bit for club and country... he's good.

But the EPL is a different world, let alone league.

15 goals and he'll have done remarkably well.
