I would like to cash out on Dele and use the monies received to buy Grealish.

Just think Dele is becoming too one dimensional and too incompatible to play in multiple systems. Not sure if it is complacency, maybe he has just been found out by opposition teams. Don't get me wrong, Dele's goal scoring instincts are amazing. But when he is not scoring goals or being feed by midfielders to create chances, he doesnt influence the game. I also think he isnt a great passer and lacks pace when dribbling.

Meanwhile i'm super impressed by Grealish. For a small guy he is surprising strong on the ball and when he does get fouled, he gets up and gets on with the game. There is a Hazard like quality about him. Also he can play in multiple positions - centre midfield or further forward as an attacking midfielder - he has a great turn of pace. Very creative with his passing and can hit a dead ball. Would be a perfect Eriksen replacement.

Whilst I wouldn't advocate selling dele just yet, if a theoretical squad place swap for grealish was possible... I'd do that all day long.

Surely there's better players out there than Grealish? He's alright, but.... I don't get the hype, personally.

Being honest I don't think there is a player I want more than grealish. We need English home grown and he is the best available alongside sancho who I would also love.

I'd love sterling too but obviously unattainable.

Like any window who a team sells will be more determined by who other clubs are interested in over who we want to sell.

Jan is a well respected defender but seems past it. Hopefully he is ready for a slower paced league and a good side will come in for him.

Foyth is 22 with 9 international caps. Should make him a wanted man and with Sanchez and Tanganga I believe we are set with young centre backs.

Sissoko is very physical but not a DM or good at passing. I like his effort but believe he will be limited here but a good side abroad might want him.

Moura is a limited player. He offers goals but not enough else. A decent squad player but I believe he will only be happy as a squad player for so long. I believe his stock is high enough for us to be able to sell and get a reasonable fee for him.

Dier, Lamela and Alli have low stock right now. If we found a buyer they would like be from teams the players wouldn't be interested in. We need to get performances out of them next season.

He's a big fish in a small pond; just like Bentley, Bent etc. We need less of these signings. He's not worth 60 mil. Can probably sign a player from Spain who is better than him for cheaper. He is less of an CM/AM and more like a dribbler in the mould of Joe Cole.

Danny Rose needs to go
Jan needs to go
Eric Dier needs to go
Victor Wanyama needs to go

Toby is wobbling
Aurier shouldn’t be first choice
Davies shouldn’t be first choice

That is at least 7 players that need looking at in the summer If we are serious about having as good as squad on the pitch as we’ve got fixed assets off it!!

Agreed!

Not necessarily because I don't think some are salvageable but for example, if the sale of Lucas allows us to sign an attacking player with better passing and more intelligence we should do it.

We have a list of players who should definitely be sold (Rose, Sissoko, Aurier) whereas we have some who I think could still be useful/improve (Lucas, Winks) but if selling that latter category allows us to bring a player better suited tactically then we should do it.

Jan and Vorm will leave on a free. I’d be selling Toby, Wanyama, Serge, Dier, Rose, and KWP. I’d be looking for 1 CB, 3 FB’s, a DM and a striker. Have Foyth be 4th CB amd he can't cut it, replace him next summer. However if we sign a CB but have a chance to sign a top CB toward the end of the window then move Foyth on this summer. I think a DM is crucial but I think if we give Skipp some chances this season, we might actually find the position to be less of a necessity and Sissoko/Winks/Gedson could work as cover. I really liked what I saw from him the few chances he’s gotten the last 2 seasons. Theres no ifs ands or buts with FB. We’ve gotta cut our losses and sign 3 to rebuild there. Only way we dont need 3 is if Sessegnon makes LB his own but I’ve got a feeling he’s better off in attack.

As for striker, i’d be looking to loan Parrott to a mid to top table Championship side in need of a striker then signing backup for Kane on an initial loan forced option in January if easy incentives are met. That way if he fails, we can cut our losses and use Parrott as cover if he succeeds on his loan. If he is successful, we could loan Parrott to a mid table PL side to further his development the following year.

Aurier - A liability in Defence but useful going forward
Dier - Just a liability all round
Davies - Tries hard but not good enough
Rose - Needs to go for his own good
Dele Alli - Just Not been the same player for the last 2 years, sell while his stock is high(ish)
Wanyama - Injuries mean he isn’t the same player
Lamela - Such a passion for the game but injured too often
Gazzaniga - Showed he wasn’t good enough when Hugo was out
Winks - I love his passion but the skill and performances aren’t in his locker. Like Mason, Livermore and Carroll, time to move on.

This lot should bring in a decent wedge, maybe £100-180m, and that could be used to invest in Jose’s choices, hopefully young players who can grow like we usually buy. Give him a good solid pre season with them and let’s win something when the year ends in 1!

Unfortunately it doesn't work like the video games where you can just sell half a squad and buy another in a window. It will be hard to move on so many players and get replacements in return. We would be lucky to get 5 incomings in a summer transfer window, maybe 4 is more realistic.

I think there's a fair few he'd be looking to move on...

Dier (becoming clear he doesn't fancy him in the side and with his contract running down, can only see one outcome)
Aurier (not reliable enough especially for a manager like Mourinho who's big on defensive discipline. Think the emergence of Tanganga accelerates his departure)
Vertonghen (age has caught up with him)
Wanyama (injuries have finished him)
Winks (Not convinced Mourinho particularly rates him but kind of forced to play him in the current situation. Think he is too lightweight to be a Mourinho type player and doesn't particularly excel in any one area to make up for that weakness)

I think the likes of Davies, Lamela and Sissoko are players Mourinho won't mind keeping as squad players however if a decent bid comes in for any of them, not sure he'd be overly fussed as none will be integral in his system imo. All 3 are honest pro's who give 100% on the pitch but for me fall short for one reason or another. Think Foyth will go out on loan.

Probably unlikely he is sold, but I am beginning to wonder about Dele and where he exactly fits into a Mourinho team, especially if he switches to a 433. Kane and Son would take 2 of the positions and really think Bergwijn takes the other as he is more of a well rounded player than Moura imo. Where that leaves Dele, who knows.

Ideally we will go into the new season with the following from the current setup:

Lloris
Gazzaniga
Austin/ Whiteman
Aurier
Aarons
Alderweireld
Sanchez
Dias/ Upamecano
Tanganga
Davies
Cirkin
Dier
Zakaria
Winks
*Skipp (give him a season long loan)
Ndombele
Sissoko
Gedson
Lo Celso
Dele
Eze
Lamela
Sessegnon
Lucas
Bergwijn
Son
Jonathan David
Kane
*Parrott (give him a season long loan)

22 current players going into next season, 2 out on season long loans.

We should at bare minimum be looking to move Vorm, Walker-Peters, Vertonghen, Foyth, Rose on. With Wanyama gone it really should be a lot of defensive focused signings with the exception of an AM and backup FWD.

In: Aarons, Dias/ Upamecano, Zakaria, Eze, Jonathan David

I like the thought of these kind of things happening but lets be realistic here.

Its likely to be a case of, and this is optimistic, 4 out 3-4 in at best. Nothing more.

4 out?
-Rose
-Jan
-Foyth
-Dier
I'll also include Vorm and Kyle Walker Peters (although not 1st teamers).

Hopefully the investment will begin with the back. At least 2 big name defenders coming in (no idea who tbh), build from the back etc.
Potentially a Goalkeeper, decent understudy to Loris.

If we can sign a solid holding midfielder than great and possibly a B class back up striker. But i think priority for now has to be defence.

I really think thats best we can expect.

I can see Jan moving on, unfortunately. Last night showed he can still be a very useful player.
I think we need to seriously start thinking about the long term GK position. Certainly not averse to Hugo staying No1 for another season, but beyond that I hope we are doing some planning.
I wouldn't be averse to selling Toby, which is a little strange considering how much we all wanted him to extend. He does have that out ball to Dele in him though, which is a useful weapon to have.
I think Foyth may be let go if there's interest. I hope not because he's still very young. I also think Lamela might go although again I hope he stays. He's a very useful player, despite his injury problems.

Really I think if we just remove Rose and KWP (if we decide he hasn't a future here), get in 2 new fullbacks (The 2 Norwich lads would be ideal imo), and either get in a DM or use Skipp more, and get in a backup for Harry or use Troy more. In an ideal world find a place for another creative player to share out the load with Lo Celso, although I think we already have a few players that could fulfil that as a backup role.
