Selling Sissoko now is not going to happen because of his injury. Come the summer I think it is a question of what we can get for him versus what use he might be as a squad player. He still looks strong and athletic enough and with less games time due to rotation should last a few more years yet.

With Lo Celso and Fernandes we have our quota of registered loan players currently, so unless we get rid of Lo Celso there will be no further loans in January, despite what TalkShi%e and Sky would have us believe.
Sissoko only recently signed a new contract and can play RAM and CM for Jose, I very much doubt we will sell him as we have many other fires to put out and areas to strengthen.

Gotta say I'm a bit saddened by the number of people in this thread looking to sell Sissoko. He has proven himself to at least be a valuable squad player and we need guys like him.
Thing is, he’s 30, he’s neither particularly good defensively or at creating or scoring. Surely the mess with Eriksen, Rose and others means we need to get much better at knowing the right moment to sell people.

We can get some money back for him and put it towards a dominant defensive midfielder who intercepts the ball and protects the defence then it’s a no-brainer.

I know what you're saying but his value is probably as high now as it's likely to be. I wouldn't be looking to shove him out the door but if a good offer came in I think we'd have to at least consider it.

I still haven't got over Eriksen s. performance in the champions league final . Please get him out of the club and let someone with commitment play anyone with commitment.

Being realistic it seems like we need 4 or 5 big upgrades to even get back where we were. Apart from a new DM (to replace Wanyama) we probably need a new LB (to replace Rose), a CB (to replace Vertonghen) at least one RB (to replace Aurier and KWP) , and an AM (to replace Eriksen). I wouldn't be averse to keeping one or two of those players as squad options but clearly we can no longer build a team around them (in the case of Wanyama, Rose, Vertonghen and the unsettled Eriksen) or, in the case of KWP and Aurier, they have not proven themselves as good enough regular starters for a team with minimum expectations of finishing in the top 4.

Other players that could go would be the likes of Foyth, Davies and Dier. Foyth obviously has age on his side compared to Vertonghen. Dier is more reliable back-up than Wanyama and Davies, especially given his age, is probably more reliable back-up than Rose.

Despite his age, and barring a good offer, I would probably keep Sissoko because I feel he still offers us more than most of the players mentioned above.

The same goes for Lamela, despite his injury record.

sell
wanyama, sissoko, dier, aurier, rose, eriksen, lamela

open to 100m plus offers
Kane and son

Open to offers
Ndombele, harry winks

I personally would never sell Kane, I don’t care how much offered. Some things are more important than money.

What on earth would make a spurs fan OK with selling Kane and Son . That is something I can't get my head around .

Kane is a legend, he is getting old, getting big inuries regularly, he states he wants to win trophies and i am not sure Spurs will win him any trophies as the clubs first priority is to have a good revenue first and trophies a bonus. For us to be challenging for top trophies again, we will need to sell in order to buy. £130 million for kane could allow us to buy 3 or 4 very good players.

For us to get back to where poch had us, we need to 4 or 5 top players.

Will son want to play europa next year?

£130m? You’re absolutely insane. No way does he go for only £50m more than Harry Sodding Maguire.

We may get bit more, but not much. Getting older, quite injury prone, doesn't look quite as good as few seasons ago, doesn't have the commercial appeal of some players. Value will certainly have dropped from when he was being touted as a € 200m player
Transfermarkt has our most valuable players as being :-
Kane € 150m / £ 135m
Eriksen € 90m / £81m
Dele € 90m / £81m
Son € 80m / £ 72m

Getting old!? :ROFLMAO:

Usually a striker doesn’t hit his peak until 28/29. Assuming injuries don’t do for him, the way Kane plays, he could go on to his mid 30’s
He doesn’t rely on physicality or athleticism really. If we played to his strengths, he could last even longer ( again, assuming injuries don’t fuck him )

The rebuild is looking a little more down the road if Levy can deliver on Bergwijn and Piatek whilst shifting Eriksen, KWP, Wanyama and Rose this week.

Our squad suddenly looks a lot younger and with Jan probably leaving in the summer, we’ve got space to upgrade the defence and the crucial DM position then too.

Part of me still think there is a good player in Foyth, has the skills just a bit reckless, sad to see Verts coming to the end, the rest yeh got to go.

Agree, Foyth probably just needs a bit more coaching to become a top defender. Mourinho can certainly give him that, if both of them are willing to be patient enough.

Foyth, Tangange and Sanchez should be our future senior CBs.

100% agree with this. We can still get £15-20m at least whilst his stock is high.
