Basically, its a multiple choice poll - just pick the players you think will be sold/outed this summer. It will be interesting to see the general verdict of which players we think have no chance of staying!

Not all the players are included because the maximum poll size is too small, but the only ones excluded are either near-certs to go (cudicini) or staying (Bale)

I think we'll sell and keep pretty much the same players we wanted/were able to that we would have under Harry. I think AVB will give all the player in and around the first team a chance and won't come in wth preconceived ideas on who will fit his system, at least I hope so. I don't thnk he sold many last summer for Chelsea (?), but the likes of Gio and Bentley will be sold (if we can) to get some funds in for the players AVB wants.

I really fear for Hudds. After such a long layoff, he'll be even slower than before and that dosen't fit in with AVB.

Probable:

- Gomes
- Jenas
- Bentley
- Bassong
- King :(
- GDS

Possible:

- Friedel (He's 41)
- Dawson (Too slow to play AVB's high line)
- Gallas (Getting on, still decent though)
- Rose (Don't think he is good enough)
- Parker (Wrong side of 30, and lacks pace & technical ability)
- Huddlestone (Don't want him to go, but he lacks pace & agility)
- VDV (Similarly to Thudd, I definitely don't want him gone, but his lack of pace could be a problem. Saying that we are looking to sign Sigurdsson, who is very similar to VDV. Maybe AVB is looking to play something different than his athletic 4-3-3 at Porto?)
- Lennon (Is he clever and powerful enough to cut inside & score goals?)
- Defoe (Needs to leave, even if we kept Harry)

Ofcouse not all will leave, and nor do I want to see some of the above go, but I'm just looking at the reasons why AVB may not fancy them.

Strangely Pienaar may get another shot, as I believe he is versatile enough to play in a 3 man midfield with his excellent work rate and good technical ability

Worried Benni will shout his mouth off, or slack off in training or do a crazy Tweet and he will be outed like Anelka was. :(

Anyone that has the "Been there, done that, got the t-shirt" attitude will be out the door.... In other words, probably just Gallas.
That was the problem with Chelsea. They were full of players who'd won the PL & FA Cup before and didn't think the change of style would work. They were right, but only because they weren't willing to be sacrificed in order for that change to take effect.

I'd like to think that we have a squad full of players who are still eager to learn and develop.

I don't think anyone will be added to the list of those who were already on their way out before AVB. Any more will leave the squad a bit thin at this stage. Yes he will bring some players in but we need a decent bench as well so I think it will take 2 or 3 windows before we see a much larger transformation with a lot of the existing squad gone.

I think it will depend on who we can bring in more than anything.

I love BAE. It is worrying. Redknapp used to say Ekotto didn't even know who we were playing in our next game at times. Doesn't sound like an AVB player to me. How's he going to adjust to being given DVDs of the opposition to revise on etc etc.

I fear that relationship could break down. :( Wouldn't go down well with the supporters either, especially if results aren't consistent right away.

AVB will either make VDV captain and build the team around him or let him go

I hope it's the former

Something that bothers me slightly (but is entirely justifiable) is that AVB will probably want to work with, and get to know, all the players in training and in friendlies before he starts culling the squad. I can't imagine he would know a lot about our deadwood... If I was joining a club I'd want to see what I'd inherited first, before I started wildly swinging an axe around. It could hold up transfers out and in, and we could miss out on targets?

On the other hand, given his former role of opposition scout and the fact that he employed someone in the same role at Chelsea, plus the possibility that he must have known they was a chance that he cold wind up with us months ago, I am sure he knows plenty about our lot already.

I agree. He is the only one not in the perennial list of players on sale.

Pienaar and Gomes are two I think could see their careers re-awaken.

Not sure how he would see Dawson.

As others have said, VDV is not a dead-cert. I think he stays and he has the talent in abundance. Just strikes me, maybe AVB might not see him as integral in his sytem.

Hopefully he does and VDV flourishes as the cutting edge of the midfield 3.

Terry mkII. I actually think it's unfair on Daws, as in terms of being a footballer - passing the ball, trapping the ball etc, Terry is pound-for-pound one of the worst English footballers of all time. Great defender though. Neither are exactly swift though and that's a major weakness.

I think levy will back and support him like RA never did. Bad eggs, slackers, off form players(bring back ghaly) won't play/sold on with full backing from levy. For that reason, it could be literally any of above, except the one or 2 obvious players. Buzzing. Coys.
