Where was the support?

we had 30,000+ fans at todays game, but we might as well had none. Why didn't the fans get behind the team and give them the lift they so desperately needed? Okay so you pay £50 to go and see your team and this money is greatly appreciated, but it costs nothing to sing and shout encouragement. I wasn't at the game but I watched on TV, and during the second half it was so quiet you could hear the players shouts to each other. I appreciate it was a cold, damp afternoon, but if you really want to help your team, SING UP!!! Is it because Jol has gone and the only songs we seem to sing lately are about him? If ever a team needed encouragement it is Spurs right now.

We had about 10 fans in our local watching the game, usually there is plenty of noise and cheering the team on. Today you could have heard a pin drop through the whole game, I think it's just a case of we knew what was coming !!

Sometimes after a string of shocking results and a shockingly poor decision to sack a manager, the fans try but are sick of being kicked in the teeth. In this case, it will take some sort of effort from the players to get them going again. It's perfectly understandable.

Absolutely right. Don't agree with the manager thing, but there's no doubt that the club have behaved appalingly re: Jol. It's not the job of the fans to pay through the nose, get treated like idiots and sing nonetheless...

Nerves, that's all it is. We are all nervous wrecks, watching the clock in the seond half. This is our new reality. Agree that, watching on TV, I could hear a lot of the on the pitch player's shouting due to the relative quiet at WHL. Hopefully Ramos can give us something to shout about for the full 90 minutes soon

The players have to play there part and fight for the club, most importantly show pride for the fans, they are well paid professionals driving around in there 4X4.

Spurs supporting wise are one of the best in the league so the atmosphere at home to Blackburn isn't the norm but it was bound to be a subdued affair after the midweek shenanigans. The players really should have none this and shown more courage.

On another note: Ramos has a big job in hand to turn the mind set of the players and instill belief. The vast majority of the squad is good but at this moment the confidence has vanished along with the defending. We must get behind Ramos and the team.

Totally agree. I can understand why some fans may not feel like it, but we should make an effort regardless of how we feel. In a way we should be feeling very positive, we have a new manager who has won big things

Put your money where your mouth is. We sang for the early part of the second half, but as soon as McCarthys shot looped in off the post, it was a case of here we go again and everybody got deflated, we've had alot of shit of late and that considered we did alright for most of the game.

support is always better away from home any way. bring on the ramos revolution, things cant get any worse. most of the players really do need to start showing some passion now

Half the time songs start, but at the moment thet get stopped every 5 seconds by the groans when another easy pass goes astray.

It's easy to say we should be singing up, but when you're stood there watching things fall apart the songs always dry up, especially when there's very little positives to cling to.

Just before we score our goal I was commenting on how awesome the support was. Then they scored and boy did it go quiet for the rest of the match!

Spot fucking on. And the fucking jobsworth stewards making you sit down all the bloody time is really annoying.

The whole situation that's gone on at the club hasn't just left the players miffed. It affects everyone. Including the fans.

So if you wanna have a go at the fans be my guest, but don't expect many to agree with you. I suppose that's the last thing for people to turn on; themselves.

What were we supposed to chant? "Clive Allen's Blue & White Army?", "Alex Inglethorpe he's someone we've never fucking heard of", "We've got no goalie coach, we've got no goalie coach".

Get a grip Mr Threadstarter. In fact you've really pissed me off with this thread. I've just paid 30 odd quid to sit down in the rain, get moaned at by stewards to sit down when I dare stand up, and you're sitting at home with your slippers on having a fucking dig.
