The BBC have just published the highest and lowest attendances of EPL Teams.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22541130

The difference between our highest and lowest attendance is 1229 and puts use 6th behind this lot

Club 2012-13 average 2011-12 average Highest attendance 2012-13 Lowest attendance 2012-13 Diff
Arsenal 60079 60000 60112 59872 240
Manchester United 75529 75387 75605 75142 463
Liverpool 44748 44253 45009 44263 746
Norwich City 26671 26605 26842 26072 770
Swansea City 20370 19946 20650 19603 1047
Tottenham Hotspur 36066 36026 36763 35534 1229

You can see the scum are getting roughly between £25,000 to £50,000 extra per match more than us in gate receipts. it doesn't sound much but over a season that's 38 games * average 600 under sold tickets per match * £50 a ticket = £1.4 million.

Well don't forget that Arsenal fudge their stats. You really think they had 59872 for the Wigan home game?

This....they only announce how many tickets are sold, not how many seats are empty.

Agree, the MOTD camera don't lie!!! Alot of their home games the stadium looked like it was covered in a red spotted leopard skin, so many empty seats!!

they still have the money from the tickets sold. Even if the fans dont turn up.

Yes but if we report stadium attendance rather than tickets sold then by comparing the numbers we are actually comparing apples and oranges no?

Arse get about £1.2 million a game more than us! That's 24000 @ £50.

Factor in increased programme sales, food, drink, merchandise and advertising and the amount they get per game more than us is a hell of a lot more.

Arguably the more important stat is tickets sold as that is revenue, I think you will always have lesser actual attendances for games like Wigan or Reading.

I think we were sold out every game. Our average this year was only 60 less than last year, according to your post. The difference is probably in away fans rather than home fans. I don't know how it works but if the away club sells over a certain threshold we presumably give them the whole area even though there'll be some empty seats.

Also we only play 19 home games, not 38 but it shows you how important the new stadium will be. I worked out that every home game brings in £1m if you include tickets, food and programme sales and I'm sure merchandise sales gets a boost from fans who don't come to many games. In a new stadium I expect us to earn close to £2m a game, we'll have almost double the ticket sales and I think we'll sell more food because that will be incorporated into the design so they will be able to serve more people. Many fans don't want to spend most of half time queuing for food so there's potential for more food and drink to be sold if the waiting times were fixed.

Its just too expensive now, has been for 2 seasons. That and the awful atmosphere are why I stopped attending home games.

Oh you don't know the half of it my friend.

I immigrated to Oz nearly 8 years ago and not a day goes by where I don't miss the Lane.

It's all I miss from the UK mind, other than a proper Curry!

That's why I get so narked at the negativity displayed so regularly.

I hope you enjoy returning as much as I would. One day I'll be back and the first order of business will be to get my brother to book every game he possibly can for my time back in Blighty.

I'll probably end up in the West stand so, when you see a tall, bald guy singing his head off, probably alone, on that side..........

It'll be me.

I have thought about moving away or maybe emigrating but honestly the thought of not being able to go to Spurs has been a big part of why I haven't, it must be really tough! I know it probably sounds ridiculous to some but the club is such a big part of my life as it is so many others

As arsenal tend to find, 60,000 tickets don't make a lot of noise.
36,000 football fans easily out-sing 60,000 tickets.
