Puzzled by the fuss on MotD over the VAR monitor showing the freeze frame of Jones’ boot squarely on Bissouma’s ankle. Firstly, that’s the whole point - showing that the opponent had been endangered and it was likely serious foul play. Secondly, their own footage showed the screen then show it in motion anyway.
They seem to be complaining that VAR highlighted the thing that the ref seemed to have missed first time round. What are they expecting it to show?
As for the disallowed goal, so much punditry seemed to ignore that there were about 70 mins (inc additions) afterwards and the rest of it would not have played out exactly how it did with the goal ruled out.
Anyway, Redknapp looked on the brink of tears in the post match analysis, so it’s all good.
