As a non-match going fan (who simply can't afford to go), I'm curious, given the amount of collective hatred/dislike for Levy/Enic at the moment, what stops other people from joining a demonstration (pre/post match)?

For me, its purely that I'm not there, and therefore laziness to get off my ass and go there to join in.

This isn't a witch-hunt or to finger point (hoping the poll is anonymous, so please be honest). We ALL dislike Enic, yet a very few of us want to take real action, but why?!

What would need to change to make you want to attend?

Can’t afford to go, it would cost 30 to 40 quid to get to London and then I have two very young kids so I’m not going to just leave them for my partner to deal with.

I'm too busy pressing refresh on transfer rumours page cos I know someone world class is incoming, it's the only thing that makes sense.

Mainly at the ground there's about 12 blokes giving it enic/levy out.
They get told to pipe down in the main or we let them shout (really quietly as there's hardly any of them) for a couple mins.

Im not really a shouty, protesty type person.

I was in attendance of the sugar out protests after the sheffield wednesday game.

Yeah it's quite simple for me, I don't think Levy will care enough to look to sell. That would also require a willing buyer and the two just don't seem realistic.

Real life commitments.

Supporting Spurs is a hobby for me. It isn't life or death. It isn't considerably going to change my life in any other way than being a bit disappointed at 5pm on a Saturday afternoon. Unless I thought there was a chance we were going to go in to administration and couldn't support this club any longer there is no way I'd ever attend a protest.

I don’t think it makes a difference. Pretty sure the only reason Ashley sold Newcastle was somebody paid what he was looking for

Money, travel, health, ultimately don't think it will make that much of a difference when it comes to Levy.

I would say that it's most commonly a vicious circle of people not thinking that it'll make any difference so not motivated to get involved.

The only time that i can ever remember a successful concerted effort to remove a board was Celtic back in the 1990s.

If I could have confidence it would be sufficiently well attended/adhered to, then I would take part.

However, right now the team needs our support. I don't want to contribute to something that makes the situation harder for them.

@Dunc2610 What is you end game hope with the protests?

If it's to put pressure on Daniel to put his hands in his pockets(a bit), it might have some effect, if the protest was big enough and attracted enough media attention. I'm certain though no amount of banner waving and chanting will force them out. Their end game is to build the club to a financial exit point, and until they reach that I just can't for the life of me see them selling.

It's like the developer who wants to build on green belt land, he is never going to care how many protestors turn up until it becomes financially impractical to continue. The difference here is that they've already built most of it and now have too much at stake to back out.

I voted poorly organised (3) and don't think it'll make a difference (8).

Spurs are (unfortunately) a privately owned company and they can do pretty much whatever they want. Fan pressure hasn't stopped clubs being asset stripped and run into the ground, so the idea that ENIC will step aside or spend a load more money because some fans are unhappy just isn't going to work imo.

I also pay over a grand a year for the ST, plus travel, plus food and drink, plus the time all of this takes - I want to have as good a time of it as I can. Selfish? Maybe, but it's why I have a ST - not to protest on behalf of people who don't even go.
