I remember after the 2010 game up there (Crouch's header) there were groups waiting to beat up any Tottenham supporters they came across. There were police on horses everywhere so how 'brave' they really were we'll never know. I suspect a lot of it for show. The one's you need to worry about are those that say nothing and just deck you!
I remember having the better half of a bus stop chucked at me by the locals after that game. The police didn’t seem all that interested in stopping them either. Lovely lot.

In terms of the actual football, they probably were. I think the fun is being sucked out of it these days

PS: Dart boy in that photo is, I think, a United fan. It looks like he's wearing their away shirt. Off the top of my head, i'd guess 1977 FA Cup SF v Leeds but that's a stab in the dark.

EDIT: Just googled it, it was at Anfield in 1978. Close though :D
Good shot if it was a stab in the dark

They're on to half a point in that they've needed to rebuild the side that won the treble and have spent the two years since failing to do so, with pretty much every signing being a downgrade on those who've left, and deciding to bring Gundogan back instead of a younger player who could inject some legs and running power into their now almost geriatric midfield.

Completely ignoring what put them in the position to win the treble in the first place, of course.

The difference between Pep and Fergie is there for all to see.

Fergie by far the better manager.

He had no favorites, got rid when he see a weakness and carried no sentiment.

Fergie did have complete control though. Not sure he would have got away with some of that if there was a modern DOF.

What a day out! City fans are obsessed with us, we are living rent free in their heads!

Walking back to the car with my son after the game, surrounded by City fans and this fat oaf turns to us and says ‘you’re brave!’ I asked why? He said ‘wearing that round here!’, I said ‘it’s just a game mate, laughing 😂.

COYS!
While I have no time for any violence after games, if it’s between adults that want to, that’s up to them.

But anything, of any sort, around a kid, is totally off limits. Even saying shit like that.

Absolutely. I laughed it off to stop my son from worrying but it certainly made me walk to the car quicker!

My old man told me how Man Utd hooligans used to throw broken glass over the partition fences at Elland Road. Blokes staggering off with shards of glass sticking in their heads. Mental.

My dad had that at Wolves away. Pretty common back then I think.

The 70s were mad. He was on his way to Wembley to see England v Scotland... the one in 77 where Scotland won and tore the pitch up. He saw a white van pull up, 3 drunk Scotsmen in kilts jumped out the back, tore down a road sign that had Wembley on it, chucked it in the van, piled back in and drove off.

I've never had any shit for being a Tottenham fan living in Manchester, but that's likely because City and their 17 fans all live in murkiest east Manchester where no one goes, while United - who have by far the bigger fanbase despite the unintelligible screeching from the dentally-challenged Ashton Canal-side nobodies - seem to quite like us.

Fergie definitely had his favorites, listen to how the players describe how he treated Cantona v everyone else, he also convinced a 38 year old Scholes to come out of retirement rather than bring through Pogba (who left on a free as a result).

If you asked ol whisky nose who his favourite player was, he'll usually answer Denis Irwin.

Agreed, but Fergies ability to make an average footballer, a tittle winner I still don’t know how the fuck he done it. Was a bit of a **** I won’t deny it but I don’t think there is a manager who has come close to him. Funnily enough was close to the sack in his first season.
