So many opposing fans say game over when Spurs are two goals clear with 15 minutes still to play.
Me thinking just get two more we should hopefully be ok.

Villa Talk

  • Side note, I really **** hate Brennan Johnson. If he scores today I'm throwing shit
  • Ollie how did you miss?
  • The Doggie with his 3rd foul and then throws away the ball? Yellow card? Not a chance.
  • Not offering anything going forwards. Will be a long day if it stays like this.
  • XG tells the story. Spurs have created NOTHING :LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
  • Deserved or not we should be 3 or 4 up
  • Restricted Spurs to no clear cut chances other than shots from outside the box.
  • Spurs are pure scum
  • We have been shit. There we go.
  • Gonna need to clean up the commentator box Alan Smith has shot his load. :)
  • Solanke finish is a proper striker finish .. as compare to Ollie
  • Making Solanke look like R9.
  • Spoiled Unai's birthday. And my weekend. (y)
  • We always shit the bed against Tottenham
  • I mean 4-1 you'd think Spurs have annihilated us.
3-4 up? What? Bar that Watkins chance what did they create? That Onana header which is hardly some huge chance…

  • Vicario is crap
  • Very undeserved lead. Could see it coming from a corner though.
  • genuinely hilarious goalkeeping by Vicario.
    He is always so weak.
  • One of the most confusing things I've ever seen in the sport was the praise that guy got last season, he is absolutely dreadful and completely terrified of a football. Awful keeper.
  • The Big Ange Love in
    Is it still a thing?
We PLAY our own way- The high line is genius🤣
They could be replacing Man Utd in 13th or 14th in the table
  • I don't think Spurs will ever get to where they think they should be under Postecoglu. He's their Brendan Rodgers
  • Spurs look like morphed into their old selves that i've always remembered them, since first parting ways with Poch and then Kane, not that they achieved much with them.
  • Spurs are extra Spursy now
  • Johnson levels for Spurs
  • Son is amazing. I'm glad he has spent his career at an also-ran instead of playing for a side that could challenge for trophies. I feel he is massively underrated due to that.
  • And Son is subbed off, much to everyone’s bemusement
  • Crazy.
There will be a load of questions if they lose.
  • Wife not really interested in football. Sees Richarlison come on and observes "That guy looks like a dick".
  • Levy is going to pull the trigger soon.
He lives and dies by CL qualification as we saw from that Documentary.
5 points from top 4 right now.
  • they look miles away from challenging too
  • Draw here suits best, no?
Spurs are no threat. A Spurs win with a few more injuries to Villa players would be good considering our game with them.
  • Solanke!
  • Great run and finish from Solanke
Yeah that was a proper striker's goal
  • That's some goal. If Spurs hadn't blown it at Brighton they'd be a few points better off and all. Going well in other competitons too, Ange not doing a bad job at all.
I'd like Kulusevaki at Liverpool, think he'd be a really good squad player you could rely on.
  • game over.
    Solanke again.
Oh Villa! Totally outplayed this half.
  • Great little chip
  • Big Dom has arrived
  • Get in Dom
  • Solanke ia guaranteed a respectable tally in this side.
Richy injuring himself in celebration, Everton that
  • Tottenham have a lot of goals in them. Very fun side to watch.
  • We should be beating this Villa side, they look tired and their midfield has been shit.
They're game raisers, and Spurs aren't worth raising their game for.
  • a proper tonking this
    4-1
  • Villa are the real deal. They should be able to see this one out. Crazy how much Emery has improved them.

  • What's with the booing of Matty Cash
  • Ange and being useless at defending set pieces. What's new....
  • Beautiful self destruct by Spurs
  • Spurs are tailor made for the 3-4-2-1 formation. His team would be so much better and much more compact without comprising their attacking capabilities.
  • Villa look stunned atm
  • What a cross...
  • Son doesn’t look tired. It’s stupid to take him out especially when you have the momentum
  • Romero and VVD injured.
  • What a goal. Looked tight that though
  • Spurs won't get top four and most likely won't win a trophy. Water treading team.
We've been total shit for 11 years and won 5 trophies. Their manager says mate a lot though so there's that
  • well, he's got them playing exciting football. that would be an improvement for us right now...
  • Great finish
  • Great finish by Solanke
  • 3-1 Solanke brace
  • Subbing Son seems to be genius now.
  • I wanted Solanke here. Good player
  • Horrible day for villa
  • What a second half for Spurs
  • Great free kick
  • I think I might have been wrong about not wanting Maddison at United

  • When Anges team clicks, it is devastating

as opposed to a team drowning like Utd I guess.

  • It will be interesting to see how Villa treat Spurs at Spurs today.
Already seeing that Villa re faster & more physical which intimidates the opposition.
Our midfield look like OAPs compared to these two sides
  • Arsenal is lower in the table cos Spurs are loosing, perfect
  • Spurs getting dragged into this relegation battle…
    :crylol:
…only 2 points above us as it stands !
  • And yet they whupped us
    :furrow:

  • Son's got a face like a smacked arse...and I don't think he's happy being subbed
Proper true colours being shown there.
  • No idea how Spuds still have 11 players on the pitch.
The inconsistency in refereeing is ridiculous.
Bentancur should've seen red for his challenge on Onana but didn't even get a yellow.
    And what were VAR doing?
  • ****. Spurs out of the relegation battle
  • You're embarrassing yourself.
    They're world's above us
  • Picking Spurs or Villa for me is a little like choosing between nuclear war or a plague. Fans deserve each other
  • Impressive turnaround from spurs
  • Too depressing to watch that game. Swapping to Noreham Wood v Orient
  • 3-1 Spurs.

    Assist by Richarlison
That's what happens when you break away at speed and don't end up back on your own halfway line. we should try it sometime
  • Not for the 1st time, watching Spurs v Villa, it's as if these teams are playing a different sport to the dross that we've been served up for the past couple of seasons
  • 4-1. Pasted. Are you West Ham in disguise?
  • So they're not getting dragged into this relegation battle?
    Never were
  • Anyone who thinks we are anywhere near Spurs level is in dreamland. Sad thing is, we were 2 seasons ago. How we’ve allowed ourselves to drop so dramatically in such a short space of time is ineptness at its finest.
  • Ipswich play at Spurs next weekend. Put 10 grand in them getting their first win
  • Not everyone's cup of tea, but West Ham Women are away to Spurs Women, live on YouTube.

    https://www.youtube.com/live/xvYnYUWI68 ... R0NQfZGnzI
    FT, we lost 2:1
  • If Spurs click they can do that to a lot of teams, especially when the ref is on their side. I’d say Spurs should have been down to 10 at 1-0. Totally different game then
  • They're more Spursy than ever.

Spank Man U at Old Trafford
Lose at Brighton after being 2 up at half time
    Spank us 4-1
    Lose to winless Palace
Repeat the Hammers result against Villa (who are actually decent).

They either win by three goals or just lose by one.

Lots of high blood pressure in North London this season

All the comments just tell me that other teams fans are starting to worry about us again.
Its funny because I know west ham fans, chelsea fans, united etc.

They say how jealous they are of the football and how exciting the games are. Not sure they are worried about us, but we seem to have a unique brand of football and action. Our games are definitely the most exciting in the league.

Y'know how how some of these crowing rival fans comments look totally dumb/daft if we concede and then go on to win the game?

I shouldn't need to spell the rest of this out...

we have these people in our own match threads...

Tbh, I was quite happy seeing us engaging in the physical battle against Villa. Too many times in the past we've bemoaned being a bit soft and easy to rough up. My favourite was Porro on Watkins. He was away after knocking off Romero and Porro cleaned him out. Nothing malicious, just stopping a dangerous situation by any means.

Villa Talk (pre match)
  • Van de ven went off early yesterday with what looked like a hamstring injury... Son may return on Sunday. We should get something from this
  • Score early against Spurs and they get Spursy right quick
  • Draw would be good, but if we're clinical for a change, the win is possible
  • A win at Spurs would suggest we are good enough to get top 4 but a draw is decent result too. Just can't afford to lose.
  • Worth noting that Van de Ven missed the same fixture last season with the same injury when we won 2-1. Definitely a big miss for them.
  • Will have to settle for top of the champions league and joint third in the premier league.
  • VDV and Werner injured and pretty much confirmed out already.
Romero went off after 50 minutes but seems it was just precaution. Brennan Johnson also apparently limping at the end. Son only played once in about six weeks.
We've gone down there and won last two years, indeed 3/4 we've won so I'd be pretty disappointed to lose this.
On their day they're a good team but you'd like to think the quality we have in midfield we can disrupt them and create chances of our own as Palace did v Spurs.
Big question here is does Kamara start already in the prem or is he still a week away from that. Unai's big call I think.
2-2 draw which would keep Spurs five points behind us.
  • This is a huge game
  • I can honestly see us beating Spurs this weekend
  • A must win
  • I'm looking forward to the even and sensible opinions of Spurs fans on Mr Cash, Mr McGinn and the role of tackling in the modern game
  • Yeah a must win after resting the whole team yesterday.
  • They outplayed us twice last season even though we won at their ground. Teams also recognise just how good we are and raise their game for us
  • I think we’ll win and that’ll be the end of Ange.
I think the players will be keen to bounce back from midweek and those who were rested will be fresher so I think we’ll do it
This is a next level of arrogance I have never seen before.

Was in row 1, 506 in the west, loved that...was looking right down on it.

Was funny, cos Pedro gave Romero a tap on the chest after....reading like...'took care of business for u pal' lol
