Well yeah probably an exaggeration but the line ‘he’d be one we’d look to sell if the right offer came in’ came out a lot.

Wasn’t saying you were one of them, just still baffles me that anyone wanted him gone. He’s been absolutely quality since he arrived, the window that him and Bentancur came in is easily our best window in about 10 years, the two of them plus Micky and Porro are easily our best players, that’s the level we need to recruit at.

Yeah agreed.

Moving him central was always going to see him deliver his best game consistently.

He didnt have the acceleration to play really wide.

But centrally he has the engine, dribbling quality, eye for pass and all round footballing intelligence to affect games massively for us - like yesterday.

Its simply game changing for us.

The thing with him on the wing was due to the full backs moving centrally it meant he had to go on the outside 9 out of 10 times which exposed his weaknesses and gave him only one option. Under Conte he was so good because the wing backs stayed wide and he moved centrally, it’s the opposite for the wingers under Ange.

Good to see him getting better and better, feels like it’s about to really click for him at which point his numbers will explode I think.
