We were fucked whatever way the result went against City on Tuesday. In terms of the bantZ based media.

We’ve seen the outcome of losing ie weak club, loser mentality etc

Had we won/drawn it wouldn’t have been well done Spurs but ‘Hahaha….you’ve handed Arsenal the title’ type stuff.

I remember when woolwich fans, chelscum fans and west ham celebrated when Leicester won the league. No one batted an eyelid.

Now we’re doing it, it’s headline news
THIS

It doesn’t get talked about enough but can you remember them (Chelsea) taking the ball to the corner in injury time? They were drawing a game against us at home and doing this. It’s not like that result won them the title. Completely petty yet doesn’t get mentioned due the fairytale of Leicester.

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Apart from, I guess still competing for a higher league finish. I think that ultimately if you have the philosophy of focusing on what's in front of you and what you have control over (that game) then you can't go far wrong. You're not wrong - the tabloid media is uninterested in anything deeply analytical but I guess, again we have little control over what is said about us.

Nah it'll be a majority of "so proud of the team, we're the only club who can compete with City's money" as if no one else has finished ahead of City in the oil era.

What worries me is that the inevitable is being delayed, and with their squad they'll be in the best position to succeed City when Pep leaves. I hate to say it, but I can't see any of their top players leaving any time soon.
Football is a funny old thing. We looked to be on our way to being the top team with our young team between 2015-2017 and even showed signs of it again before the end of 2019 when it went to shit.

Players can and do lose it as we’ve seen, people lose focus, other teams adapt and change.

The comments about us from some Gooner off Gladiators in this week’s predictions on the BBC website are proper salty:

Enjoy!
Swear this happens every time Arsenal do remotely well. People who’ve never shown interest in football crawl out the woodwork proclaiming they’re die hard Arsenal fans and come out with ridiculous takes and vitriol towards Spurs. It’s like it’s PR advice because they know they’ll get so much positive engagement from the hordes of gullible goons wanting their thoughts repeated in an echo chamber.

Absolute freaks.

"Tottehham"
"Stoped"

Bit weird that we’re wearing our 2019 kit in that. Also a bit weird that, in a post designed to convey that we’re treating a defeat to City as a trophy, our players are clearly holding two actual trophies (looks like the League Cup and UEFA Cup). One of which Arsenal have never won.

Ooooohh burn!

The funny thing is that this is nothing in comparison to what we'd have coming our way had we actually held City and Arsenal went on to win the league.

Literally a lose-lose with regard to what we'd be getting from that lot.

Its extremely tedious but I'm trying to not get riled about it like I used to.

We need to foster a club culture of us against the world - "no one likes us, we don't care" a Millwall-esque attitude but actually winning things

Its the only way to rid ourselves of the banter club tag and will rub salt into the wounds of our rivals and make them pipe down

The funny part is that somebody went to the effort of creating that to give off the impression that we’re small time…

Oh the irony

I mean we drew away at arsenal and city , lost at home to arsenal and city. The irony about all the talk of our fans obsessing over stopping arsenal yet it's them going on about us not helping them.

If anyone's mad at what Legend says just remember he plays the bad guy Gladiator and it's his job to get "heat" with people and make them dislike him by saying certain things.

ai can do it in two seconds
Yes but somebody had to:
  • think of the idea
  • go to an image generator
  • request an image of Tottenham players having an open top bus parade to celebrate how they stopped Arsenal
  • scroll through the first 15 results (the first ones area always a bit crazy)
  • Save and upload the image to socials
  • Complain that Spurs are small time and how they never waste time thinking about us
