Personally I think this 3rd year blow out is a little overstated, Namely because he left Porto and Inter on highs and I think we're more comparable projects with them than the likes of United/Real. Chelsea is a strange one because they were not a big club when he joined in stature but they had the expectations of one. There was big projects waiting after Porto/Inter, I don't really see what he will have available which will be better than us if he does achieve success with us.
Won both domestic cups, finished second and got to the semi finals in his 3rd year at Chelsea 1st time around

From a Bournemouth fan forum:

Seems Spurs against West Ham and the other night were vulnerable at the back. So we would need to capitalise on any chance we get.

We know what their forward line can do.

I want our forwards to put someone to the sword. I mean it, a proper fucking hammering.

Yes I know what you mean. Against Bayern we should have been three or four up before they got their second. We have so often this season been well on top of games but failed to take guilt edged chances and therefore exposed our defensive frailties. Yet we have some of the best goalscorers around yet fail to get three, four up when on top settling for one or two goals then being stuck not knowing whether to press games or defend. Even against West Ham we should have had more goals to protect us from the usual implosion at the end

I actually thought we defended pretty well against West Ham for the majority of the game and we looked far more compact and well drilled than we had under Poch. However, once the tiredness set in and they got 1 back, you could see the element of doubt set in and our fragile mentality began to show. For the last 10-15 minutes we looked very vulnerable indeed and if the game had lasted another 5 minutes they would've probably equalised.

Hopefully over the next few weeks we can grind out a few more results and rebuild that confidence in our defence as it was shot to pieces towards the end of Poch's reign.

the reason why we were well drilled was we never invited pressure from anything when the keeper had it, we went long

From a bournemouth forum:

Time to spoil the party. Looking forward to this – I'm optimistic.

I'm so pumped for this.... Danjuma to rip Jose a new one

Also, they're playing Champions League this week. 1-3 to the Cherries. Arnie hatrick

From last seasons game.....Son is gonna be on one for revenge!

We always lose at Spurs and I can't see any other result this time, unless David Brooks makes an appearance.

We've never lost at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium :)

I don't think Spurs were actually a bad team. Morinho has walked into a decent team who no longer wanted to play for Poch. Having said that he is a talisman who can lift a team with his presence alone. Saturday is going to be tough, really tough and I'm not expecting much but you just never know.....

...the expectation on the Spurs players has been lifted by Jose and we will be up against it on Saturday....but inconsistency still runs through their team and if we can turn in a massively improved performance then we can come back with something IMO...please lets not freeze though as we often do at the big teams away from home...we need to beat one at some point. (a la Chelsea)

This is probably not the best time to be playing Spurs as they have just appointed a new manager and this will be his first home Premier League game in charge.

The entire defensive structure doesn't revolve around whether we kick it long, though. Whenever we lost possession and got men behind the ball we looked more compact and rigid defensively than we did in recent times under Poch. Admittedly this was less evident against Olympiakos, though, so I'll be curious to see how we look today.
