I don’t think they like us very much: :(

“Sick as a dog. I fucking hate VAR, but not as much as I hate Tottenham! If I wasn't with my daughter today I'd still be in Grey Mar Lane. FUCK OFF YOU HORRIBLE CHAZ N DAVE ****S! “

There is a thread on FTL talking about quite a lot of trouble after the match. City fans waiting outside (Maybe that's what he means by Grey Mar Lane?), Police unprepared, City fans attacking men, women and children.

One post:
They were there but they were massively caught by surprise by the numbers city had and the fact that they were really wanting to attack us. As we came out of the away end we were pretty much ambushed. As we walked further along the road the situation got worse as the city fans were trying hard to break through the police. We were in-between a them and a fence and had they broke through we were in the shit to be honest. We managed to get out of the bottle neck eventually but the atmosphere was really toxic everywhere.

Back in the station it all kicked off again.

City fans were scum, they were targeting anything they could get to and it didn't matter if you had no interest in fighting them or not.

I think our fans will remember today when they come to WHL.

How can they say it's rigged?! It hit his arm and as per the new rules it's disallowed?!

Sus out the post matc De Bruyne interview where he moans that the ball also hits the Spurs player and asks why it isnt a peno. infamy. It hits the Man Shitty players arm first Kev and doubtful if it touches the Spurs man at all.

Var the best thing to happen in football . The right decision against the right team and the right manager and the right supporters.
I can't stop laughing its wonderful. The reaction of Redknapp and Neville was priceless they are acting like Citys no1 supporters the bitterness is wonderful to behold.
Why would an ex United player be biased towards City?

Sick to death hearing “VAR denies City a win once again”. Why don’t they report “VAR clearly works again”.

I watched a clip of some Spurs fans goading City in the stadium at full time. It’s no surprise that these things kick off when you have morons purportedly supporting both teams who have no clue how to behave in a sporting environment.

They should be waving Xg graphs at each other.

Reuters top news posted a story entitled 'VAR controversy denies City victory' - suppose saying correct decision made after correct application of the latest rules isn't very sexy.

I think it's also fair to say that if the stats had been reversed and we'd had 30 attempts v 2, all the talk would have been about how wasteful we were and how clinical City were.

Also this, where they're moaning that Skipp was pulling Laporte's arm back and that's why his arm was where it was and that's why it was a hand ball and it's all just so unfair. They even provided a screenshot, except the screenshot was taken at least 2 seconds before the handball happened and Skipp was nowhere near Laporte's arm when he made a complete lash of the header and it hit him. There are even City fans at the bottom saying how misleading the post is (and an Arsenal fan, bizarrely) but they've been downvoted for speaking sense.

You’ve got to take the good with the bad. I don’t see Spurs fans still moaning about Madrid. It’s a game. Move on.

They will go on and on about Lamela and Rodri but when you have a six foot five inch lump falling over so easily, it’s questionable isn’t it? Lamela is a smaller player. It’s a 50/50 he went to ground and that’s why a penalty wasn’t called.

Stupid putting his arms around the neck though, I think it should be a pen

Absolutely - the media will always look to attention-grabbing headlines because that is what draws people in to the article. You just need to look at the rubbish on newsnow for that.

It should’ve been a pen on Rodri but fact is it was 0-0 at the time, and City still went on to score first, so there’s no way of knowing how the game unfolds if it’s given. Remember the 2-2 at Anfield? We’re dominating, get a pen, miss the pen, Liverpool go up the other end and make it 2-1.

Then the disallowed goal... that’s not a valid goal in any era of football. If it doesn’t hit his arm, the ball ends up somewhere outside the top left corner of the area, maybe going out for a throw. Llorente’s (if it even did hit his arm) hits his hip and goes in whatever happens.

I used to not mind City but City fans really have become self entitled ****s.

If it doesn't hit Laporte's arm the ball goes through to Ndombele and Jesus doesn't get anywhere near the ball. What's the controversy? It was the correct decision.
