And are still 22 points off 1st place, having lost as many games as 10th place Arsenal. They are massively underperforming. It doesn't matter which team you support, if the performances and results don't line up with what you believe the team is capable of, you're going to be peeved about it.

They are under performing, I do think it is a mental thing though. I actually think their squad is stale. They have spent but think it needs some tweaks. For example, Aguero is brilliant we all know that and I dont mind Jesus but they should get someone who offers something different up top, in all honesty they could have and should have gone for someone like that guy who went to Dortmund.

haha yeh. I would say though we deserve it, Sterling should not have been on the pitch and the amount of fouls every time we broke was insane, how they didnt end up with 7-8 men left.

I honestly don’t get how refs let Pep’s team foul and foul and foul.
It's been happening for years but the amount Fernandinho gets away with in particular is galling.

Never underestimate the ability to drop intensity levels after a couple of titles back to back and doing the domestic treble last season.

Liverpool haven’t won it for thirty years and are going after it like a club who knows that and thinks this is their best chance. City have taken their eye off the ball a bit, 10 domestic trophies in the last 8 years, 4 of them league titles. Over the next ten years they’ll buy more titles than Liverpool will. Their holy grail now is the Champions League. I for one hope they never manage to win it.

Chuck in the somewhat flawed approach from Pep at times and some questionable recruitment and it explains why they’re off the boil a bit. Laporte’s injury hasn’t helped but again, with their resources they shouldn’t moan too much really.

Made me laugh yesterday when they bit when were singing ‘it’s happened again’
We should definitely have replied with ‘we’ve never seen Tottenham buy the league’?

It would be nice if the powers that be introduced an instant yellow card rule for such blatant tactical fouls. City and Liverpool would both concede more goals ( or get more red cards eventually )

Wow. Some of those City comments. There's entitled, and then there is flat out delusional and ungrateful. They have one of the best managers in the world. Some of the best players in the world. Yet somehow, they need to replace half their squad? Or maybe... just maybe, they're having a slightly down year. Not everything is going their way. Fact is, Liverpool are running away with the lot, because they've been great. However, they've also had some luck along the way. You always need that to win the league. Fact is, the luck can just as easily swing back their way next year. Liverpool picks up two or three key injuries, or they just can't seem to get the rub of the green. Swings and roundabouts. They really could use a lesson in perspective.
If their fans can't see and appreciate the quality of their team, then perhaps their Oil Buddies can sell-up and buy themselves a team in Spain instead. Then they'll really have something to bitch and moan about.

I've watched a lot of City, can say they're entitled but their fans are not that far wrong tbh. The team is well off the standards of the last couple of years, stuff like workrate and intensity and it feeds everything - what you do with and without the ball and ultimately results.

Their whole spine of the team has had major disruption also - no Kompany, Fernandinho out of position (he's been alright at CB, no more than that), David Silva was declining at the back end of last season and continued it this, and Aguero's goal tally is still very good but his all round play hasn't been stellar, to my eyes.

Injury hasn't helped either, they gambled going into the season light at centre back and injury bit them immediately. Also think Sane has been a big miss, he isn't the most consistent player but always thought they looked at their best and most dangerous with him left, Sterling right. His holding the width and direct threat in behind opened up the space most effectively in the inside channels for the likes of Silva et al to exploit.

But as a neutral even I can see they're not working as hard as they used to and have lost that bit of hunger, desire, whatever you call it. So no wonder their fans are having a moan. As we have seen ourselves, when complacency starts to set in and for whatever reason players just aren't giving it at full tilt anymore change almost always needs to happen.

Surprised about the reaction from our fans over this tbh, considering we do it all the time.

I see similiarities between us and them and forget success for a minute but we reach the end of one project and needed to start another - theyre actually in a similiar position to us at the end of last season. They need to refresh that squad totally and sell a few not necessarily because they lack quality but like you say they lack a bit of hunger and that desire. Wehther Pep is there for the start of that new project remains to be seen.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave at the end of the season, people like to talk about Jose's "self life" but Pep isn't much better, 4 years at Barcelona, 3 at Bayern and the end of the season will be 4 years at city.

I agree but the only reason why I think he wont leave is because he wont want to leave after how Klopp and Liverscum have trounced the league this season. If I were him and if I were to bet on it id expect him to stay because he wont want to have his tenure end knowing that Klopp trounce him this season.

They already have a club in Spain... Girona FC.

Nah, Pep will sneak out with the tail between his legs. He knows he will have a small rebuild on his hands and take the easy way out.
