I posted this in the match thread but it belongs here.

Wolves forum:

Sat on a train north out of London, with loads of Spurs fans. They are all dreadfully civilised, not a train beer in sight.

spurs have a combination of so many unpleasant players, except for son really hard to like anyone on that team

That front four then is pretty frightening, but we can get at their midfield and full backs for sure.

Thrashed hit and hope. Top corner. Typical.

We are playing some brilliant stuff going forward.

Deli alli diving at every opportunity, horrible player.

for a supposedly crap keeper gazzaninga has made a few great saves

Playing them off the park. Will be gutted if we don’t get an equaliser before half time.

WHAT. A. HIT! Adama Traore!!

LMAO what a tackle by Kane there

oh ffs come on

Cripes
<-- this one is definitely my favourite :ROFLMAO:

Fucking hell. Can't believe we've lost that.

Didn't deserve to lose to those stains. Ref was a shitehawk as were most of their diving **** players. I'd happily see Eric Dier have a career ending lobotomy, trouble is I don't think they'd find anything to lobotomise...

spurs should have had a minimum of two red cards, the treatment of Adama was diabolical

What a fantastic game and performance though. Nuno is going to kill them for conceding such a daft goal though.

“A minimum of two red cards”

Yeah you get lots of games where teams get three red cards don’t you mate. Great assessment. Midlands prick.

Off to London

Nagelsmann meets Mourinho!

hot! London and then against the Spurs in the new stadium. I'm very happy!

Top lot
I am definitely there.

Great lot
<3

Only Harry Kane easily scares me
:|

With Lloris, you surely have a world-class goalkeeper. It is important to me that you get a grip on Son and, above all, cause few corners and free kicks, because Kane is a power when he gets balls.

Nice lot. Leipzig can cause a Brexit.
;)

Overall seem fairly happy about it

This is their first CL Knockout game, they were probably hoping for a glamour draw, as you can see there are mentions of London and the new stadium in those comments. Weren't many better 2nd place draws aside from the Madrid pair. Probably the best choice for them, big name and good place to visit but also beatable (in their eyes). They won't be short of confidence looking at the Bundesliga table.

On to Chelsea at the weekend...

Let’s not forget the Chelsea twitter account posted this ‘not so sly’ dig around 3 weeks ago...

Top 14 ?

Now we go above them if we win. Even if we don’t, they must be shitting it for the rest of the season. Reminds me of arsenal when they beat us in the league to go above us and celebrated like they’d won the CL, then we knocked them out of the cup a few days later and were above them in the league again within a week.

Moral of the story.... never give it large halfway through the season. It will almost always come back to fuck you in the arse.

That Leibzig fans comment 'Lets cause a Brexit' is pretty funny!

Could have been worse for both clubs, will be good!

And yet before Wenger they never gave two shits about the quality of football.
They did, they just wouldn't admit it in public. They always secretly wanted to be us because we always played the football. That's why they loved Wenger so much: he finally turned Arsenal into Tottenham - at precisely the time that we were shite.

The funny thing about that Wolves match is that their fans for now and all eternity will hate us.

Join the fucking queue, mugs.

I was listening to Sam Allardyce on talksport this morning and he called it right, stop the bleeding, get the team hard to beat first, get the confidence levels up with wins and worry about the "fluid Football" once that is in place.

For that you need the right manager, SA himself could do that, as could Benitez. Arteta?

SA is a good manager imo - not that different in his approach to a lot of top managers, but it goes to show how differently you can be perceived when you don't go from top team to top team.

For example, Benitez is given a free pass for playing uninspiring mid-to-lower table football for several seasons at Newcastle (and still gets linked to top jobs); Steve Bruce (so say a terrible manager) is doing just as well right now tbh. Hodgson got an average Fulham to the Europa final and is doing above expectations at Palace, but none of the older english 'dinosaurs' will get the same opportunities as those who've had a good pop at the CL.

Arsenal need, imo, one of them with the experience they have to correct the team.

I wouldnt even respond if we win on Sunday. Only respond if we finish above them at the end of the year, a quote tweet with the final table and the thinking emoji would be funny.

Nevermind halfway through a season, we weren't even a third of the way through when they posted that.

So, we committed 10 fouls against Wolves and got 4 bookings. They committed 14 fouls on us, also receiving 4 cautions (mostly on Moura after he had skinned them and was about to break away). And they say we're the dirty team?
