Tell you what, Ndombele looks a footballer....................and by that I mean just looks like a bog standard footballer, why was he so expensive?
I suspect we'll be hearing a lot of this over the course of the season.

Ndombele has an unusual running and dribbling style and isn't your typical busy bastard in CM. I reckon a lot of opposition fans who don't watch him closely or don't understand his role will massively underrate him.

The way he turns, creates space for himself, weights his passes and retains possession are all absolutely sublime and anything but 'bog standard', but it's only the odd 25 yard belters and through balls that will catch their eye.

In fairness that twat made that judgement after 45 minutes and even then other more knowledgeable posters on there were calling him out on it.
By the end of the match he was getting laughed at left right and centre, but instead of holding his hands up and admitting he was a bit hasty, in true Internet forum style he just doubled down on it.

I actually think it will become clear to others soon. Once he becomes fully confident and comfortable in this team I think he's gonna look incredible.

saw this on a arsenal forum

Kane is just another van Nistelrooy

goal Poacher right place right time no wow factor like a true striker

He was a useless tosser that van Nistelrooy - only scored 349 goals over 592 games spanning 7 clubs. Lucky or what?

RedCaff has never been full of people who can judge a player. There's a thread or two on there, I assume populated by under 25 year olds, who think that the "original" Ronaldo (fat/de Lima) was some plodder who can't be compared to Cristiano

Nobody is leaving the stadium...Spurs making tonnes of cash post-match. They've cracked it, build it and they will...stay. #THFC #AVFC

When the Prem started, the general consensus over time was that other clubs got the jump on us, and were able to dominate for years as a result.

It feels as though there’s a new era of stadium-building, and Spurs have got the jump on everyone else. Look at the Death Star. It’s just a big building that fits lots of people in it (according to official accounts). It’s not multi-purpose.

That’s the brilliance of Levy and his team. He knows we are building a new stadium, so his first thought is how to make the most of that space.

Football.

American Football.

Concerts.

Skywalk.

Bars utilising an on-site brewery.

Restaurants.

Museums.

A gigantic sports shop.

Europe’s biggest climbing wall.

A deep dive tank.

A supermarket.

Hotels.

Housing.

Anything else I’ve missed? It’s making the most out of what we have, in a pretty creative way. It all costs a fortune to run, so there’s an extra incentive for the club to want success. If we become major contenders on a regular basis the stadium will be printing money.

Loving the reactions of the visiting fans too. It sounds like we’ve tried our best to make visitors feel as welcome as possible.

I would much rather have a deep dive tank myself. Most clubs have trophies.....even the likes of Portsmouth, Wigan and Birmingham and have won trophies more recently than us. How many can claim to have a deep dive tank though....just think.

To dare is to dive

I've spoken to an ajax fan and other away fans who have praised the stadium very highly. Its great to hear.

What Levy has done is simply genius. By providing automated beer delivery, no cash payment, people get to get faster delivery. In most stadiums, everyone's rushes out after the game to beat the traffic...but in new WHL, with faster & efficient service, what we have done is to start a post-match tradition /culture among the Spurs fans to hang around, have some beers and talk about the game...
This is not just post-game, pre-game as well.

It will be interesting to see the full set of financial results for this first full year in the new stadium. In particular the match day revenue numbers and how they compare with others. I guess we'll see them (with Swiss ramble style analysis) in 2021 so a long wait.

I imagine we're selling an extra 40-50k pints because of this which is an extra ~£4M a season.

I've been hearing the club are selling the beer cheaper than the nearby pubs who seem to be charging £5 a pint.
