When they sung “you’re not Tottenham anymore” I laughed in their faces with confusion. I still don’t get it.
We're not Tottenham anymore?
What, the Tottenham of mid table mediocrity?
The Tottenham with a small run down stadium.
The Tottenham who could only dream of getting in the CL let alone a semi final?
Why thank you very much. Very kind of you to say so lol.

I heard wet spam fans sing something that made a few of our fans react and I was in Paxton lower although I couldn't make out what they were singing because I dont understand neanderthal o_O
Anyone that says there was no atmosphere were right but only in the second half! First half the fans were good but in the second half the team looked very lethargic and they started better than we did so that might be something to do with it, which can be typical of our fans. I'm starting to give up singing myself tbh cos it just stops after a verse and I'm left standing(sitting) like a humpty cos only me and one other are singing.

And on a side note I was seriously disappointed with their fans, it was like they couldn't really be bothered to sing although it could be due to the early kick off but they were shite.

Hmmm I was next to them and didn’t hear that. In fact they didn’t sing much at all.

They only piped up after they scored.

And they had the cheek to sing "is this the Emirates" when they hadn't made a sound before that. Idiots.

I heard it. The whole of the shelf booed them, and the Park Lane gave them "you're not west ham anymore". Shut them right up.

The best they could do after than was the "you're not Tottenham" which got little more than an implied facepalm from everyone, and the "is this the Emirates?" which the PL gave an ironic cheer.

They wish they had a stadium as good as the Emirates. And that's saying something...

Fortunately no City.

Yes, fantastic! We think we have a much better chance against Spurs than against City. Spurs also has a very narrow selection and a very busy program all year round. Also another 4 former Ajax players.

Son does not participate anyway and Kane probably also has to miss 1 game (and otherwise without a match rhythm).

I see our chances of at least 50%.

-

This is not impossible !. Without Kane and Son. At Ajax, that is something like without Tadic and Ziyech hahah. I do see opportunities

Fortunately not a City indeed, because with Aguero / Sane etc. You would have had more problems.

-

If we have everyone fit by that time, we should be able to win it. Another advantage is that we first play out.

-

It sounds simple, but if you are unbeaten against Bayern, Real and Juve, what does this Spurs suggest? We look a bit with 2 sizes because of course the Spurs has a much larger budget but in terms of selection, I find them not particularly strong.

In the back you have running backs, which do not know what playing football is against wingers. Alderweireld (I still find it somewhat overrated) and Vertonghen are no longer what they have been. Sanchez also has a hard time picking up in England.

Eriksen runs in midfield and that is by far the best football player there. Because they might be both Kane and Son in the front, Eriksen will also be somewhat limited because the substitutes of both men are a lot less. Die Alli was a great talent in his first year, but he also gets stuck a bit and doesn't get better.

This duel with you just decide there already. This is the time to at least reach the final.

I think that Ajax will easily reach the final.

-

Son suspended the first game. Kane probably injured in both games.
They have a narrow selection so hopefully some (not too serious for the players) aches and pains.

Can we hopefully show PSV how things should be done?

I am curious what Ten Hag will do with the right back position. Just assuming that they are both fit and ready to play.

On the one hand, I think we should prepare Mazraoui. You have to take advantage of the fact that they miss attacking power (Son and Kane) and therefore you can set up a lesser defender. Moreover, it is important to score some goals and Mazraoui is offensive better than Veltman. On the other hand, I think Veltman has been very stable, more stable than Mazraoui in recent weeks. We also have Tagliafico on the other side. Let it walk a bit more on the left than we have and we have more defensive power on the right. So I could also understand the choice for Veltman. Against Juventus also scored twice a pass.

But I read back in various analyzes that it will become important for Ajax to frequently carry out a successful substitution pass. Tottenham makes the playing field very small and puts pressure on with many players, massively turning over the opponent's possession on a certain side. Then it is handy again that you can build up from the left and the right and have a good footballer there. Mazraoui is naturally a midfielder of course, and you can see that reflected in his game. Is much more comfortable at the ball.

All in all, I would prefer Mazraoui, purely because of its attacking qualities. But the choice for Veltman would not be wrong either. It's nice that there is something to choose from and that the level is so close together. Important in this final phase of the season. And again, assuming two fit players. It could also be that Mazraoui is not yet fully fit or does not respond well to a final training session before taking a seat in the stands.

Seen Spurs-West Ham on Saturday. Spurs didn't make me hot or cold again. The only things that make them really dangerous are the fast, deep-pass applications from Eriksen. They are very good too, and those quick attackers know how to handle that.Furthermore, they really like it in the back when the pace is low and the game is static, but Ajax can combine with a lot of movement like no other between the lines. If Ajax has difficulty with that, Tottenham is a tough team without excelling too much. I also do not want to go into all euphoria from all sides. We just have to do it. Tottenham remains a solid team.

-

Double feeling for this competition. Bale from playing against Vertonghen. That feels so uncomfortable because I am almost 100% sure that he is (fanatic) supporter. I also have to bear in mind that Eriksen is decisive in this competition. That would really hurt my stomach.

In addition, Spurs comes across as easy. Especially if you've played Real and Juve. You automatically automatically think about what is very strange and perhaps very stupid.

Despite that, Ajax just needs to win this. Spurs was not thunderous in the games against PSV. Kane does not participate. Son is suspended the first game. Who needs to score goals for Spurs?

Ajax is the favorite. Wondering how they handle this role.

-

Indeed. Not much to add.

Yes they have eliminated City with a lot of art and flight work. Of course they are not just in the semi-final and it is (together with Ajax) the surprise. Playing football, I think it's pretty poor and Kane is also somewhat overrated. We may look at it differently because there are quite a few former Ajax players, but this is just the chance.

If City has a great day and all players are in top form, you are completely out of luck. If this were at The Spurs, you just have a chance because their selection is simply less. Apart from the former Ajax players, they have few players that I would like to see at Ajax, so it is absolutely no wonder team.

English football suits us and smart players like Tadic, Neres, Ziyech and De Jong have to succeed. Again, decide there already.

They seem pretty confident overall, and I would be too if I were an Ajax fan - we've got so many injuries, Son is suspended and they've knocked out Real Madrid and Juventus already....

However, I think they could be underestimating our fight and somewhat surprising 'big game' / 'big team' mentality in this competition so far. We somehow score vital goals and pull off incredible results out of nowhere.
