I don't understand why that OP wrote such a fucking long essay about this upcoming match if he really feels there's nothing special to the rivarly between THFC and the mighty LFC.
I feel I know what's to blame for this, I recently had an operation and had a couple of weeks off work.
When Homes Under the Hammer finishes, there's a five hour ocean of complete shite on daytime TV until Tipping point comes on.

This is what the workshy consider 'time well spent' Im afraid...the dippers are lapping it up as well.

can't find the post on FB but my cousin (unfortunately supports pool) put a picture up yesterday and instead of a celebratory one, it was Jan poking Firmino in the eye. I told him if Firmino hadn't pushed him, Jan wouldn't of lost balance and poked him.

no reply hmmmmm

Good afternoon, kiddos. Managed to find an Italian Inter forum so here come the dodgy translations. From: https://interfans.org/forum/threads/inter-tottenham.2358899/page-14

"Less and less hours separate us from Inter's European debut. The home challenge against Tottenham is already worth a lot for both morale and the standings. Luciano Spalletti must dissolve the last doubts. The main of these concerns the defense: a 3 or 4? According to reports from Sky Sport 24 , quotations of Danilo D'Ambrosio , due to injury during Inter-Parma, are on the rise . After the pessimism of the past few hours, then a cautious optimism. With the number 33, the Nerazzurri would keep the 4-2-3-1 and the run-off between Antonio Candreva and Matteo Politano for the role of the right-hand side would come back to life ."

" It all depends on how much they can withstand defense and midfield .. a counter-attack gazette escapes us "

"It depends almost everything on what kind of performance Vecino will do "

"There is only one thing to do, to kiss Mr. Spalletti's hands, who with the team of last year brought us back to play these games. Have at least a little respect and give time to this team. "

"0-3 x tottenham with our heroes who make it under the first thrust. "

"ANXIETY "

"I'm optimistic, we finally play in the Champions League.
Let's see how we play against a team that does not close in defense. "

"Yesterday I saw the highlights of the match against Liverpool and defensively they seem quite a disaster ... "

"we are winning tonight "

"0.3 "

"The only good thing will be to breathe the Champions atmosphere again. Too bad it will last only 5 minutes, after which usual curses to tape "

"The three best defenders in the field
Midfield in the thickest
The most free ninja to insert himself
Perisic not confined to the fascia

The game of vecino will be fundamental for the rest there are things that make me hope "

"X tonight I'm confident totthenam strong team but suitable for us."

All in all, about 75% of them think they are going to get smashed and the rest are staying optimistic.

Brighton fans seem quite confident of getting something out of the game, with most predicting a repeat of last year 1-1.

A topsy turvey BHA (14th) meet Spurs (6th) at The Amex on Saturday (tea-time) in an intriguing encounter. The Seagulls (who haven't lost in the league at home so far) will meet a Tottenham team who have beaten Newcastle & Manchester Utd already away from home, but lost to Watford & then to Liverpool at home. Could Spurs really lose 3 matches in a row?

Last season we drew 1-1 at The Amex with Gro§ scoring a penalty for us. We have beaten Spurs (once before in the top flight at home) - a 2-1 win back in 1983.
Can we do it a second time?

I've never voted the right score. . . Vote with the heart. 3-2

A Humdinger, Murray scoring first half, to become top scoring Englishman, AJ scoring a peach from 20 yards to win it in the 80th minute, and MR 'the cat' to spring high and wide to save a Kane header in injury time.

3 points in the bag.

I was quite confident that we would beat Spurs until last night against Inter which left them with 3 defeats on the trot so would expect Poch to kick some buts much to our cost.

Gone for 0-3, because it's inevitable we'll get a result like that at some point and it could easily be at home to a team like Spurs, especially if we see a repeat of our first half performance against Southampton.

Some guy also thinks there will be trouble...

Just pondering to myself if I should venture into town after the match against Tottenham, wondering if that would be stupid idea....

Pretty sure some Tottenham fans & Brighton fans will lap up the chance of that extra drinking time before the match with a late afternoon kick off, there is a pretty good chance things could go pear shaped in town Saturday night.

I was not living in Brighton when they famously came down in the 80s and trashed the town, and set boats on fire ? nothing could be as bad as that, but there does seem a little history between the two clubs which also resulted in the pre arranged barrier luzzing incident which resulted in people getting sent down.

We will see, if nothing else the ol;bill will get some much needed overtime in.

1980's.
Don't you mean the infamous 1978 game. A day that will live in infamy for many of us who were there.

I've had a special attachment to my cobblers ever since seeing a Tottenham fan impaled on church railings near the Goldstone. Horrific sight and sounds

Nah Spurs fans will all be getting in their Audi’s and popping back home asap

Quick google led me to this. Grim stuff.

https://www.google.no/amp/s/thegold.../15/lifes-a-riot-as-brighton-crush-spurs/amp/

The game was delayed for thirteen minutes after spectators had spilled on to the ground with this crucial Second Division promotion match only twelve minutes old.

Spurs fans who stole sixteen cars and burned one when they got to Brighton, started fights early on and local spectators were forced over the barriers for safety.

in those days, it was pretty grim where ever we travelled as fans clashed week in week out. there was a big thing going down between the 2 at the time, in football terms both fighting it out for 3rd place for promotion.
