Change the name of the thread to 'What are the big 5 (or 6) opponents fans saying about us....'

On Blue Moon they seem genuinely worried. Most want Willy Caballero to start in Goal instead of Bravo. Some however pointing to the fact that they expect a reaction and have done ok against the big teams, some basing optimism on expecting to get slaughtered so will probably win mentality. Below are a few of the more amusing quotes from the recent posts there:

I can only see one tactical solution for Saturday, get to spoons early and drink as much as possible to ease the pain.

Think the club should run a competition where the prize is to play left back at the weekend. It already looks like we're doing that, so what difference would it make?

I really fear that it may be more than 4. We are haemorrhaging goals, and anyone who gets a shot at goal, stands a very good chance of scoring as long as it's not straight at Claudio Clownio.

They genuinely seem to be bricking it which is very amusing.

I don't think we should kid ourselves though that this has become some sort of "should win" fixture. Despite looking all over the place at the back they have world class attacking players that on their day could win the game for them. All results are perfectly plausible here.

They do seem a little emotionally fragile on Blue Moon. The bookies - which universally think a Citeh win is the most likely outcome - are more hard-headed.

If all the people complaining that the thread's gone off track, went to opponents forums and posted their findings in here...it wouldn't be off track.
Crazy stuff i know.

Anything can happen on the day, technically we should beat them and our players should be well up for this, they should be confident but not cocky, I hope Poch let's them know that.

There are some City fans on Bluemoon still reasonably confident. But none of them seem in any way dismissive of us in the way that other fans often are (both in and outside the top 6).

Can see Kolorov being in for this some, someone's got to be dropped out of that back four after last weekend. It doesn't bode well when he's the only option to come in for either Stones,Clichy and Otamendi.
Be just like typical city to smash Spurs, they might rock up smelling blood and try to attack us which would suit us down to the ground.

To be fair before Sunday's anomaly of a game we had conceded 3 goals in 6 games. Our defence on current form hasn't been bad at all.
Think we'll be much better here but will be amazed if we win. 1-2 Spurs, much like last year, complete with dodgy penalty decisions.

Not looking forward to this one but I think it will be a shock result and we will win.

Spurs will come to play. We usually do okay against sides like that so I'm hoping for a performance at least.

I fancy us for a win, we always do it. We have a shite performance, someone puts a rocket up the players arses and we go and perform like we should in the next game.... Seen it too many times.

Essentially they all recognise they've been shit in some games recently and Sunday was a new low. Some of them expect a battering and others expect some sort of backlash a positive outcome.

To be fair - I'd like to know how many times Pep has lost consecutive league games in his career...

I can't blame them for being confident

They've not been in great form but they still have some great players and are capable of beating anyone, they beat Barca at home after all

They also beat Arsenal comprehensively not too long ago and for my money were the better team against Chelsea despite a bad defeat

We're in great form but aren't unstoppable - our last trip to Manchester ended in a defeat to Utd and it was pretty well deserved too

I think those expecting us to batter City could be getting carried away, I think it will be a very tough game and I think any form of victory would be an immense result. Even a draw up there would be decent

Equally though I can understand City fans fearing the worst after they just got tanked 4-0 and we put 4 past WBA and could have had twice that. Let's hope their doom and gloom fans and our mind the gap fans are right and we beat them comfortably
