What have we got to be excited about?

You are probably younger than 10 years old.

Just because I know we've had it worse doesn't make it better. In fact, quite the opposite - I know we should be much, much better than we are, and it feels like we're completely failing to achieve what we should.

Not in hindsight, but when people are slagging off Hudd, Daws and Defoe. I would like to remind them that they were an integral part of a team that came 4th twice. What we just bought in, havent proven a thing yet. I didnt have the highest of hopes. People seem to be disillusioned by spanish sounding names. Dont know why...

Lots of foreign flops in the PL...we just bought many at the same time.

If we call BAE back and get Vertonghen fit I think we can start to look forward to a much better Tottenham.

Supporting a football club is supposed to be unconditional through both thick and thin!

I wonder how some of you would feel if you supported the vast majority of teams in this country, like Stoke or Portsmouth or Leeds or ????

Townsend pulled a hami.

Is that confirmed?

I was hoping when he walked round the pitch that he may have just cramped or at worst strained it, any one who's pulled one will know it's very difficult to walk at all.

Only thing I can say is properly integrating Lamela, Soldado and Eriksen into the team in the hope that we find some identity. But honestly I just don't know who we are any more. The thing that really hurts is that we feel so much like the mid table Spurs of old now.

Shame isn't it. But people wanted the old spurs. AVB tried to get us organised but people just weren't happy because it was "boring".

So disappointed in THFC.

I think it's the hope that killed me. I was so psyched at seeing the likes of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado, players I've admired for years coming in. I thought we were going to blitz the league. We look so, so, so ordinary.
Im with you mate, thought we have signed real talent here, this team looks awesome.
Then there left out and we go back to crap that supported bale last season.
Then TS comes in saying we need british backbone and promptly loses to West Hams reserves.
New manager and quick, we have the players get them fcuking on the pitch and rescue us please.

One sunny day, we will relegate the Goons at the Scumerates, and then beat the Chavs in the CL final, a match they need to win to avoid a bankruptcy order!

Next year in Jerusalem, Brudda :)

NO...people weren't happy because it wasn't working. The boring football was just a tedious bonus.

I wasn't pro AVB's sacking but some stuff being said against it is a bit far from the mark, organised teams don't get beat 3-0, 6-0 & 5-0 in a matter of a few weeks, teams that have a lot of problems get beat like that!

Pathetic, blaming players that havent played hardly.

Yep. The thing is, organisation with AVB came at too big a price and 'organised' was the last thing we ended up being. Even now as a result and as a whole we've lost our identity. Despite the result today I think some of our play highlighted how much AVB had actually held us back in terms of ball movement, cohesion and such.

I'm disappointed too, but I'm sure a decent manager can at least restore some attacking basics and solidity back into our team but the effects of how AVB had us playing are going to be lingering for a while still, hence why despite being devastating, a defeat tonight wasn't too surprising. It may take some time but I think we'll get there.

Sport is shit at the moment :(

We're shit. The Ashes are shit. Even my village indoor Pétanque team got beat last weekend in a grudge match with the peasants from The Hooden on the Hill.

Its pop-a-pill time.
