David pleat being discussed on TS. Simons views will be interesting

Angle is he should be grateful for the run he had and that he isn't with the times. But they are only discussing the eyes v data debate

I don't think the main issue is that the club no longer wants to employ him—he’s nearly 80, after all, and these things come to a natural conclusion. The concern is more about how, according to him in the article, he’s been treated. It would be interesting to hear the "other side" though @Led's Zeppelin.

Have a word with Gary Mabbut.

Confidentiality is a major constraint which makes it very difficult to give details about support given to individuals, but when misleading stories of this sort come out it’s hard to just let them go when there are lots of people hungry to jump on them to support a point of view that doesn’t stack up with the reality, and which can actually do damage to efforts to provide support where it’s needed.

Don’t particularly want to hear the other side, as I don’t feel I’d be able to trust it for even half a second.

That's not really the best way to form a valid opinion on anything though, ignoring one side because your mind is already made up.

Plus, I think @Led's Zeppelin is talking more about the Gazza story, than he is the Pleat story.

I know. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wanna live in an echo chamber, but I don’t see any way that Pleat story could be spun to put Levy in a better light, it’s just downright nasty, but of course I’d hear it out if another version came to light.

Certainly also happy to hear about the Gazza story.

Easy to find, straight from the horses mouth.

I believe it was a word used on the site many years ago to replace ****. That and Wooley.
I think that's why it made me laugh so much, I hadn't heard that word used in years but couldn't remember where from.

What's the latest development here?
I listened to 5Live early morning Australian time so was a bit fugged but he clearly stated it was nonsense that DL got rid of him because he was surplus to requirements. He also said that the two got on really well.

David Pleat loves Spurs. When I used to hear him in the commentary his knowledge of the club, former players and current youth team were incredible. He seemed to have a photographic memory back in the day, not sure how sharp he is these days. I'm glad it was bullshite talk. Top man is Pleat
