Seen it so often, a team goes three up and think job done after 60. Other teams scores anytime before the 80th min then anything can happen in the last 10 and you're suddenly on the back foot ... so frustrating. Surely we'd have learned this by now. Still, a good result and as has been said, a good excuse to get the teeth into the evaluation of the performance and character a bit there.

Honestly before the game I was looking at the line up with a couple of questions but Jose got it more or less spot on. Everyone who came on showed why Jose left them on the bench in all fairness

Lucas is such a strange player for me, don't get me wrong i rate him. But, with his acceleration and dribbling, he gets the ball countless times one on one and 75% of the time will just jog and not go for it. I really hope it's a confidence thing as he had so many chances today to turn up the gears and run at them, instead just played a simple pass.
The drive he showed to get to the 2nd goal gave me hope this is no longer the case.

Eriksen should be relegated to the reserves. He offers nothing.

Dier cannot pass, should not be starting when Ndombele is back IMHO.

Diers passing was off. His positioning was very good.

The passing will improve in time.

We've seen him pass better before. He can get back to that.

In a way theres positives to be had from the slight capitulation in the 2nd half. Keeps everyone very much aware of the massive frailties we still very much have. Jose is genuinely the ideal coach to sort those out. Just thankful we won the game, Captain Kane seems to have absolutely bought in already and Dele is also moving in the right direction. Good start, much to do but i have to say almost straight away its great being able to get behind the team again. COYS.

He’s really not a very good dribbler. He gets the ball caught under his feet an incredible amount.

Jose has only had 2 days to prepare, very sloppy at the end, but 3pts / 1st away win in forever which was most important today.

Good early signs thought Dele was very good and the defence where more compact and solid until they went more direct late in the game

All that matters is the result. Do not forget we are missing Vertonghen, Lloris, Lamela, and Ndombele, not to mention Lo Celso didn't play. I don't think that was close to our best XI, but give Mourinho time, and by the new year, we'll be flying.

José off to a winning start which is the most important point to take from this. Actually not that bothered that we fell off in the last part as you can't expect everthing solved in a couple of days. José now knows where the work needs to be put in and I have no doubt that he will be able to sort it out. Though Dele had a magnificent first half and looked like he was finding his old self, if he can kick on from this that is a massive boost for us.

Look`s like Moura will be Jose's regular first 11 starter. If he can get him and Kane to click that would be very handy.

Sanchez was solid all game then let himself down badly.

Dele, Son Kane all superb. Dier and Winks solid enough.

Lo Celso? Does he fit his plans? Have to wait and see.

COYS!

Lo Celso has been away with Argentina, not surprised he didn’t feature today. Ideally I’d have both Lo Celso and Ndombele playing instead of Winks and Dier in the long run.

We won today and in the grand scheme of things it was possibly the biggest 3pts of the season, given it was our 1st away win since Jan. Dier needs games, he was a passenger for a lot of that 2nd half. I'm more interested to see how N'Dombele, Lo Celso and Lamela play in this team. We have players that can come into this team and make a real difference. What I saw in the 2nd half was the remnants of Poch's training - players looked quite spent and will be interesting to see what these players are like with more energy.

West ham are awful, and the goalkeeper terrible.

A Poor performance apart from a few nice sparks from the front 3 .

Dier and winks an awful midfield combo

Don't be fucking stupid, just because you didn't want Mourinho in and Pock sacked.

Excellent 70 minutes, poor last 20, but JM will have learned a few things there without costing us points.

That's our first away win in nearly a year, and he's done it in his first attempt.

Show some respect.
