TEAM FORM: Hammers LLDLL _____ Spurs WLDWD _____
(All Competitions)

West Ham (WH) are looking to secure consecutive league wins over us since beating us in both matches in the 2013-14 campaign. They have lost their last home league derby 1-2 vs Crystal Palace. They have not lost back to back such games at the London Stadium, last doing so in March 2015 at the Boleyn Ground (3 in a row). Only against Liverpool (5) has West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini lost more League games than he has against us (3).

We have won 3 of our last 5 away league games against WH (L2), including the last 2 in a row. We have never won three consecutive top-flight away games against the Hammers. In all competitions, the away side has won 5 of the last 6 meetings between West Ham and US ( 2 wins for WH and 3 for us), with the other ending 1-1.

We are winless in 12 Premier league (PL) away games (D3 L9), our third longest runs of 14 between May 2000- January 2001 (Under George Graham) and 13 between March-November 1997 (under Gerry Francis). We have dropped a league – high 12 points from winning positions in the PL this season – just 2 fewer than we dropped in the whole of 2018 – 19 (14).

We have scored in both halves in just one of our 12 PL matches so far this season (2-2 draw vs Man City in August) – Only Southampton (0) have done so in fewer games this term. We have gone 83 PL games without a 0-0 draw, the 3rd longest such run in the competition’s history after Man Utd (114 games between May 1999 – May 2002) and Ipswich Town (87 games between August 1994- September 2001)

Kane has scored 28 goals in 45 PL London derbies – only Thierry Henry (32) and Frank Lampard (32) have netted more goals in such games. Kane averages a goal every 132 minutes in these fixtures, second only to Henry ( 1 every 114 minutes, minimum 10 goals)

With Mourinho now at the helm, we hope our fortunes will change and we can start our next era with a win over the Hammers.

Funny enough, I feel both a sense of relief and positivity. Something I didn't feel prior to the international break. Our Season really starts now! COYS

I just want to see our players fight and desire, something which hasn't really been present for ages (CL run aside). Don't expect miracles in the first week, just want to see signs of improvement.

This will be interesting.

The squad doesn't need many changes, just some new ideas & a kick up the arse.

Hope jose hits the ground running.

This is what I've waited for all my life. That WE are the club with a brand new manager facing a London derby and benefitting from the new manager surge. Love it.

Tim Sherwood's first game was against West Ham. We lost 2-1. He went on to be reviled and despised by the fans.

Mauricio Pochettino's first game was against West Ham. We won 1-0. He went on to be loved and adored by the fans.

No pressure then, Jose.

I gave us no chance prior to Poch leaving.
I now think we'll beat them and be surprised if we dont to be honest.
