Tottenham Hotspur star Timo Werner is on course to bring the curtain down on his Hotspur Way career at the end of the season as boss Ange Postecoglou has set his sights on signing a fresh attacking influence instead of keeping the RB Leipzig loanee on a permanent basis.

Thinking it's pretty much a given.

Last season when we had a few injuries, he wasn't a bad stop gap and his goals and assist record was reasonable enough for a player in his first 6 months at a club.

With Moore and Odobert on the fringes it was a good idea to have Werner for an extra season. If Moore or Odobert burst onto the scene then Werner could be dropped, if not then Werner stays as first choice backup.

Werner has been disappointing this season and no way does he get to sign permanently unless he has a miraculous turnaround.
