On a diffrent note, well done for Defoe reaching 100 goals he is the 15th player for us to do so the list reads

Jimmy Greaves 266
Bobby Smith 208
Martin Chivers 174
Cliff Jones 159
George Hunt 137
Les Duquemin 134
Alan Gilzean 133
Teddy Sheringham 124
Robbie Keane 122
Les Bennett 116
Jimmy Dimmock 112
Glenn Hoddle 110
Bertie Bliss 106
Johnny Morrision 102
Billy Minter 101
Jermain Defoe 100

Regardless of the current climate he has always been a good servant to the club, and is the only symbolic spurs figure (with King) of the naughties left in the club. His best season came last season. And I for one hope he is back to his best. It was a good goal he scored today.

Great thread/post.

He's scored 100 goals for Tottenham, and deserves a lot of respect and applause from us. He's not been great this season, but he's done well for us in the past, has always seemed to show a genuine affection for the club, and has scored some incredibly important goals for us.

Thanks for your contribution JD.

he's done well for us but unfortunately this season it hasnt happened for him. however, at his age you now have to wonder whether we have seen his best years considering a burst of pace was always one of his key attributes and he is not going to get any quicker.

Yep great achievement and well done him, although he has been rewarded handsomely during his stay with us. But he isnt good enough for a club wanting top 4 aspirations and I would like to see us cash in for him especially as he'll be 30 next season.

Thank you for your service JD. Now piss off as you're not longer good enough.

Ahh, it's like Robbie Keane all over again. Happy days!
